R4T on YouTube took their ‘24 OR long bed to the same trail with different results. Finesse matters.

I don’t think they even made it half up… they turned around before they hit the same spot

Finesse? I watched both videos and both had tires spinning consistently. R4T also bottomed out quite hard 2-3 times... finesse lol.

Well, I’m no off-roader, not more than gravel roads. Sure they hit a few times, shows me it’s durable, and they climbed that rather large rock, IMO finesse.

I just posted the video to show, just because 1 broke doesn’t mean it’s a design flaw and they all should be recalled. But it seems like there’s more people that want to crap on the 4th gen instead of giving it a fair shot.

The internet loves to S**t on things and create drama. For some people that is all they have to do and they hate seeing other people enjoy something because they are so damn bitter. It'll die down once the initial excitement is over and Toyota resolves all the bugs.

It's just 3rd gen owners who are salty about their trucks becoming the old model now. Some handle it better than others, but on the whole, TW has become a salt factory.

Sounds like you "think" you can read the minds of others.. Does that work out well for you with anything else besides a Tacoma?

I’m here to learn about the new gen and all of its ups and downs. So far there have been many of both

Dude, you've been here a month. Not sure you get to declare what TW "has become" at all. LOL I'm still fresh compared to most here.

Also, I specifically bought the 3rd gen BECAUSE it's old. Same reason I had the Tundra before it. I wanted the established record to go on. I really hope the 4th gen does well, and doesn't have too many growing pains. I just can't shell out the money for a new truck again, so my opinion on it doesn't matter much.

I do think the TFL issue is a one off though. They already had it to Toyota and what broke is a sacrificial part, and now they have a team digging into why that part broke when it shouldn't have. Toyota definitely wants to keep their reputation for reliability so they are going to do whatever they can to ensure as few 4th gens as possible have any kind of problem. This is all just the teething phase that every new model goes through.

I'm just saying that the majority of us are hoping the 4th gen kicks ass.

You also get bonus points for picking the best color option. :D

He’s been on here trying to justify his purchase the whole time so he shits on 3rd gen owners by saying that it’s the worst gen. Just an insecure dude I assume.

There is a lot of that. And the funny part is I’m seeing it from a lot of users who really got their panties in a wad when 2nd gen owners talked down on their 3rd gens. Yet here they are doing the exact same thing to 4th gens now that their truck is the old one. I don’t know why the different gens can’t just exist in harmony.
