    Whoa!
Glad you are hopping around and able to type about it.
    - The tale of the incident and aftermath will deserve a write-up in the trip report section of TW!

Best of luck on the recovery!

i'm so happy to have found the one person in the entire universe that's never made any mistakes or consequences that hurt others.

    Captain Armchair Quarterback, i assume?

shit happens, we deal with the consequences. there's no takebacksies in life. i can guarantee that if either of the two drivers involved knew what was going to happen even 5 minutes minutes before it happened, they'd do literally anything but choose to play the event through. my last wreck that totaled a vehicle wasn't my fault either, and i could've been $10,000 richer had i just left the house 1 minute later.

OP, i'm sorry it happened, i hope everything heals up, and insurance is mostly painless to deal with.

the circumstances haven't been posted yet. but a mistake is a mistake. i can't say i haven't accidently crossed the line one time or another for a variety of reasons. sometimes i drop something i'm trying to use like sunglasses after i turn into the sun. sometimes i'm trying to get home after a long day and can barely keep my eyes open. it happens. we've all got places to go. difference is that my instances didn't result in impacting another vehicle. that doesn't mean it's worth wishing death upon someone.

the only reason i'll agree with you is if it comes to light that the other driver specifically veered into the other lane with the intent to hurt someone.

Same here with my old Tacoma. If I would have made or missed one stop light it would have never happened. If I wouldn't have turned it wouldn't have happened...

It was found he was at fault entirely. If I would have been injured it would have put me getting my CDL in jeopardy as I tested for it the next day and it indeed put a mark on my CDL. I still never wished anything on that guy! I was more worried if he was okay.

Everyone makes mistakes whether big or small. No matter how perfect you are!

I was a chief deputy coroner in PA for years and saw less damage with more fatalities. You are a very lucky person.

    Holy shit!

I'm glad, and impressed that you're walking away from that!

The Taco did its job. Hopefully insurance takes care of everything and you're whole again soon.

Saw some new Tacomas on the lot in Ontario, California today. Didn't stop to see if there was any added market adjustment.
I was there getting an oil filter and a drain plug washer. I wanted to know how much the 5-30 oil was and got told that is not the spec oil. Didn't feel like arguing today. I wonder if he would refuse to sell it to me. It is going to be 90-100F here the next six months. WTF!
Anyway, glad you are OK. Good luck with your search.

Thankful both of you are still with us. Love and prayers.

And as I typed this I noticed there’s a red 24 Tacoma beyond the outfield fence. Watching Yanks/Angels

OP, it's good to know you are ok, that's a pretty serious accident that many people dont get to walk away from

it is easy to assume the young person mistakes like phone distraction or impairment but the truth is, we don't really know what caused her to cross the line, she could have had a medical emergency of some sort that caused her to lose control, I see it here all the time.
