    Hey everybody,

Just found this site and man it is awesome.

I ordered my 2006 TRD Off Road Double Cab Silver Streak Mica 4WD with a 6 speed tranny and leather in August of '05 and picked her up in February '06. She was my first new vehicle, but not my first Toyota.

I previously owned a '94 extended cab 22RE 4WD 5 spd that I bought in 1997 with 24,900 miles on the ticker. Man, it was a great truck but I sold her with 156k to help buy my 2006 but it wasn't my first run-in with Toyota quality and toughness.

The vehicle I drove throughout high school was a hand-me-down 1986 Toyota single cab 2WD 22R 4spd with tan vinyl. My dad had purchased it new in '86 for $6000 and he had driven the crap out of it. Well, my brother got it after I did and drove it back and forth from Dallas to Texas A&M many, many times. When I got her she had about 150k on her and buy the time I was done with her she had been wrecked twice, flipped once, and had 275,000 miles on her with the ORIGINAL timing chain . Welp, after that first truck I just couldn't bring myself to drive anything else and I've spent a great deal of time trying to convince everyone I know why they should drive one of these things.

Anyway, glad to find this site and see a whole lot of people that enjoy their trucks just as much as I do mine.
