Holy chit, I've done a lot already!!
Finally signed up. Just got my Taco a few weeks ago. Did a few little things, like painting badges and some tinting, helper springs etc. AFE CAI on its way. Can't wait for that. Cleaning throttle body tomorrow. Idles really high when cold so hoping that helps. Maybe a 2.7l thing, don't know cause I am new to toyotas. I want to tint my tail lights. I want to be safe and seen, so it will be a light tint. I just hate that pink color they have stock. Also want to do the BHLM, but nervous. My wife will kill me if I f-it up. I am handy and knowledgeable, just not the most confident. My question is, what do you think of black rims on my truck? Like pro-painting, or powdercoating the stock rims. Also has anyone successfully added a overhead console to a regular cab? Just the map light one. I really just want the lights and a little extra storage. Thanks in advance for the input.

Those are just wheel skins, I would probably sell those. They are just the gray stock rims underneath.

thats a good looking truck man. I didnt know toyota made our stock rims in crome. As for your black rim question, go for it dude. Go ahead and do the BHLM, tint your tails, and paint your rims black. What i would do is paint the rims a matte black and leave the center caps crome, and if it doesnt look good piant the caps. oh and lift it 3 inches. Single cab short beds lifted look nasty. just my 2 cents

So has anyone ever tried to install an overhead console in a regular cab? I would hate to spend the time pulling the headliner down just to be disappointed it's not going to happen.

I'd say pull them covers off & paint those wheels black
The black fenders look good & wish my truck had them rather than the painted ones.
Agree on the tail lights too.
My truck is impulse red so the light red hue on the taillights was a lot of red so I bought a set of 09 tails from a member here.
No help for you on the console but sure somebody has the knowledge on it for ya :D

No I haven't done it yet. I lost my job soon after that post and just recently went back to work. I definitely had the time to do it, but not the cash. It is still on the to-do list, but I haven't heard whether the bolt hole and wiring harness are up there, so I will have to drop the headliner to check it out b4 I buy one. If I do it in the near future, I will let you know. Winter is coming, so attention is shifting to my sled and getting that ready.
