    Yes.
My truck looked worse from hitting the deer. Air bags deployed. Wasn't even able to drive, fluids leaking everywhere.

Thats enough damage that the insurance is needed.
Find some fir and put it in the grill. Your good to go :)
Sucks though, good luck putting it back together, hope you get some upgrades.

Ugh, So the deductible is actually 1,000! Cant believe i didnt notice i was paying for such a high deduct. Anyways It looks like im gonna get a couple different estimates... I was hoping for a armor bumper but i cant afford to fix my truck and get a bumper for a thousand bucks...

$1,000 deductible will get you probably $3,200 for your damage. You can use that check to get a new armor bumper, used hood, ebay headlights, cheap grill online and remaining body work done.

if your unfortunate enough to have to make the decision between deer and turn. It's best to just take that sucker out. there is usually not enough time to turn safely and your likely to hit a tree off road or an on coming car. i've heard of several people rolling vehicles because tried to miss deer. just slam on your brakes and take the hit.

I know that you should always just hit the deer, But in this case i believe it would have done more damage. I took a higher risk swerving but i was only going about 10MPH. If i didnt have my back end slide out i would have been able to successfully miss the deer without crashing. I totaled my last truck by nailing a deer doing 55MPH. Didnt swerve or brake, I fucking floored it that time, Made sure my front end was as high as possible.
Hopps auto body quoted me for 1948 bucks. But there labor rate is only 45 bucks!!! Going to conifer auto body today to see what they say, Praying for a 2500-3500 Estimate so i can get a custom bumper!

$1948 seems low for that damage. If new OEM parts $400 for a hood, $250 for grill, $300 bumper plastic, $200 headlights, $50 headlight trim, $1000 labor. Thats $2200 for my calculation but doesn't include anything internal to the bumper or grill that could have been damaged. My pricing for new is probably still low for some items.

The hood is fixable. Conifer auto Body did an estimate and came up with 3200 bucks. Sounds like il be getting a custom bumper :)

i don't know how you could hit a deer or wreck missing it only going 10 mph. i wouldn't think the back end could come around at the speed and it only takes 5-8 ft to stop from 10mph.

Also most people that try to avoid it end up getting into a more serious accident then just hitting it. If you see a deer go straight at it.

1 of two things will happen
    1) you will miss it and avoid losing control
    2) you will hit it and avoid losing control and your premiums won't go up.

Coming around a corner going uphill, I was on the throttle and plus we had 2ft of snow packed down on the road and it was nothing but ice, So as i was turning he jumped out, I cranked it left, Started to slide, Overcorrected right, And ended up going sideways left into a couple aspen trees.
