Thank Zeus for TW

I went to the stealership today to get some toyota WS Tranny fluid. The parts guy fires up his computer send asks me what year tacoma I have. I tell him it’s an 09 with auto and V6. He types away then looks up and tells me it takes type 4 fluid. I tell him no, it takes WS. He types some more and then insists it takes type 4. I argue with him and point out it’s a sealed trans with supposed lifetime fluid and type 4 is not lifetime fluid. He looks up my VIN then says, it takes WS fluid.

Now imagine I am not on tacoma world and am just a shade tree mechanic that likes to do his own work but didn’t learn what type of fluid it takes. This parts guy would have fucked up the transmission. Thankfully TW is here because the dealership is no friend.
