A public thanks to Bob Prim for providing me with a Gentex rear view mirror to replace my 2014 Tacoma's generic flip-up. I used the instructions posted here on the forums to power the mirror, but I left the temperature sensor wire coiled up and stuffed in the headliner. I didn't want to attempt the work of going through the firewall. The mirror's compass, auto dimming, and Homelink set up work just fine, though.

I took the truck to a professional stereo installer today, and for $80, they did the firewall work. At this point, the temperature sensor reading is working perfectly, along with the rest of the mirror's functions.

    Thanks again, Bob!
