I'll confess to not owning a Tacoma... I hope my 2012 RAV4 V6 is close enough. I was first attracted to your fine forum by the absolutely amazing, super, unbelievably good lighting and headlight threads by user crashnburn80. These threads should be required reading for every car owner who has even dreamed of upgrading his headlights, regardless of make or model. It saved me from buying some not-so-good LED bulbs for my halogen reflectors. In our internet world of 99.9% BS, how nice to see a person carefully testing parts and products and reporting the results.

I have made a few changes on my RAV4 in the few months I've owned it, but aside from lighting/headlights, I have 2 more projects in the works:

    - One project is replacing the steering wheel with a 2013 RAV4 (or 2014 Corolla) wheel. The physical fit is easy (most Toyota steering wheels physically interchange). Making the controls work may be more challenging. It's also unclear if clocksprings are the same. I have not found anyone who has made this swap, which is surprising, because the 2013 RAV4 steering wheels were much nicer than the 2012s.

    - Another project is mounting a gauge in the driver side round A/C dash vent. Aside from physically wrangling the vent from the dash, I will need some kind of socket. I notice that 'sockets' are available for some Tacoma model dash vents, as well as BRZ/Scions. I don't know how these plastic parts compare size-wise with the RAV4 vent. Stay tuned!

    Again, thanks for the admit.
