Thanks for the welcome, folks.
I have found on-line owners' forums to be fantastic. I am and have been a member of the TDR (Turbo Diesel Register) and also the VRCC (ValkyrieRidersCruiserClub) for many years and both are similar to this forum; there are guys (mainly) that can take apart, diagnose, and repair every conceivable thing about the respective vehicles. I look forward to learning LOTS about my soon-to-be-mine '02 Taco.
My only other Toyota (now under new ownership) was a '94 reg cab 4WD, 4cyl, 5 spd and it was a great little truck that was far better as an off-road vehicle than my former CJ-5's ever were.
My other current vehicles are:
'16 Yamaha Wolverine R-Spec, HunterWorks clutch, RipSaw tires, 2" lift;
'14 Sierra 1500 QCSB, 5.3V8, 4WD, Z/71 stock except for muffler (wife's truck);
'05 Silverado 1500 reg cab short bed, 4WD, 4.3 V6, 5 spd, Yukon ltd slip, Ranch Hand bumpers;
'04 Ram 3500 "early '04", QCSB, 4WD, 5.9 Cummins, AT, BBI injectors, HiTech turbo, DunRite trans mods, 4" exhaust, and more (approx. 500HP/950Lb-ft);
'00 Honda Rancher 350 with warn front axle disconnect;
'10 Desert Fox 28ft bumper pull.
