    Thanks friend.

Removed radio bezel (see video), truck still creaks.

Have pushed, prodded the dash in various ways as mentioned in the creak threads, but nothing works for me in that regard either..

Check the hvac box to firewall bolts and check the blower motor.

THIS. Thank you friend, I will add this to my list of things to try and will report back to you all. I very much appreciate this. Let me clarify please:

    i) so the bolts/fasteners from hvac box to firewall - by hvac box do you mean the black blower motor behind the glovebox ? or is there something other than the black blower motor I should be looking at

ii) Do you know if these bolts are accessible without me taking apart the dash down to the sheet metal? In other words if you see in the video, I took everything off that doesn't require me to remove the deepest gut, but if I have to I will

iii)) blower motor - so far Ive tried all settings, hot and cold, recirculation, defrost, etc. etc. etc. and the motor is dead silent. What should I be looking for here?

    Thanks again

This is great thank you. Can you please help me to understand more. The picture you've shown - is that correct way everything should be, or is it the incorrect way?

Another person also told me to look at the windshield/cowl/firewall interface, so I want try what you've pointed out, just want to make sure I know what I'm looking for and how to fix it.

Not much on the 07 yet. 18 is gone, but was a greata truck. TRD Pro grill, Gator FX3, Homelink mirror, Black out badges & exhaust tip, Remote start. Future TRD exhaust, skid plate.
I would just put on the console where the seat touches, going just a little beyond with extra length for the seat movement. You just need it on one side to stopt the rubbing noise. I had a bmw once that had factory felt located like this for where an unused seat belt buckle would hit the side pillar.

The blower motor bolts in bottom of ac box. Remove blower and test drive.
Hvac assembly bolts directly to fire wall some times bolts are on engine side. Don't know bolt location on tacoma yet.
Try to move Hvac assembly blower side by hand.

Mine looks like this on both driver and passenger side. Which one is the correct way?

Also, I just found that my cabin air filter door and even the filter itself could rattle. I felt lined the edges of the cabin air filter door and stopped the free play. Hopefully that works for me!

Just did a test drive and I think felt taping the edges of the filter door in the glove box finally solved it!

It's about 55 degrees where I am at. I'll have to wait for a cold morning drive to verify if the rattle goes away for good.

Wow ... I thought I'd of run into these kinds of probs buying a Plain-Jane Base Model SR.... Absolutely none of these things .. (Yet, but who knows..)
I'm still a bit surprised at how quiet the cab is with the stereo off and the windows rolled up. Maybe I'm just lucky? IDK...

Thanks kindly. Yes my windshield and cowl interface looks the exact same as yours, so I'm hoping that's the right away.

Also the cabin air filter and filter itself I will check. THanks again

You did good then! I think this stuff happens due to qc issues in mass production, but my hypothesis needs to be tested. I would say that whether it creaks or not shouldn't vary by model type (i.e. sr5 vs pro), but it could vary between time of day produced, or some other thing. At any rate if your interior is silent then as they say, let the good times roll!

Which Audi did you end up with? I've never owned any Audis, but I do quite like them.

Probably not related to your issue, but reposting in this thread just in case anyone else runs into this annoying shit:

    https://youtu.be/-oSvEF1yS0s

This was happening on my 16 OR, along with all the other dash rattles.
The '19 Sport has its share too, unfortunately.
    I feel your pain OP!

years and years ago I used a microphone and a recording device to find some irritating squeaks in my 2011 GTI. Moved the mic around the vehicle to narrow the area to about a 2 foot square.

On my truck one of the rubbers was sitting freely like the quoted picture and one was under the metal trim of the vertical trim of the windshield... I was getting noise from the one sitting above so i put both under vertical metal trim and noise went away. May not be the solution but it did stop a noise i was hearing while driving.
