Just finished out changing a front headlight on a 2008 TRDOR Prerunner thanks to this video..
    https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=G9r3feo_y8g

Rather easy to replace. But for the life of me I cannot get that bolt back in that connects the L-joint that you need to access through the wheel well (he takes it off at 3:07 in the video). Frustrating, but ultimately ok, getting it off. But man trying to get the threads to line up when you have one arm wedged in there was insane. Could not figure it out.

Thought the headlight looked solid enough from the top bolts so left it. But it will always nag.

    Any ideas?

I just did this. With one hand up in the bumper, I hand spun it in while pulling the whole light assembly out towards the front with my other hand. Took some patience but it eventually went in.

You don't need it. Leave it out if it's being problematic.

I unbolted that fender liner at the bottom (believe 2 10mm?) and reached up thru there while lying down underneath. Blind reach used 1/4" drive racket. The headlight has a metal clip on that mount so that may be slightly misaligned but it can be reached and done. You can feel the mounting hole from underneath so find it a few times as a weird angle to reach. Pad the liner edges or wear long sleeves or you may scrap that arm too.
