    All guys and gals-

I've googled this, and searched here. I can't find my answer though. I am adding some light strips from SuperbrightLEDs, and I want them wired in with the dome light. Only I can't trace the pink/blue/black-white wire to anywhere. Not too sure where it ends up under the dash, the a pillar, or in the door sill. it's a simple install, if I can find the wire. Fire away...

    Thanks

    Kyle

Are you gonna run the LEDs off the dome light circuit or through a relay?

Just off the circuit. I guess I should have specified that. Also, it's a 2012 TRD.

Well you could just run a hot from the dome light itself, and pick up a ground.

    Nope.

Dome light gets a hot 24/7 directly from the fuse box.
The ECU applies a ground to it through the blue wire when the door is opened.

Aux lights would have to be wired the same... Power going to the "+" side of the aux lights, and the "-" side going to the blue wire.

Someone tried a relay and it didn't work... just chattered when the ECU dimmed the dome light.

Need to keep the total draw down. Replace the original dome light with LED, and at that point, you can safely drive about 5-7 watts worth of LEDs (including the replacement dome)

Blue wire should be in the bundle in the A-pillar.

the bottom connector has a white wire (pin 2) that is the positive and a blue wire (pin 9) which is the ground
