Looking through this board, I stumbled on the incredibly long thread related to the "Secondary Air Pump" issues. Is this still an issue? Apparently, that pump is expensive, and the pump impeller blades are damaged by bits of plastic and foam that enter it. The source of these bits happens to be the filter put there to prevent contamination!! Trucks won't pass emissions test when the pump is failed. It seems like this issue would be a major topic cost wise anyway.
Is this still a concern to all of us that have the pumps? If so, has there ever been a real fix?

Tried to add a link to that thread, not able. The post at #304, (!!!) shows a mod to replace the filter. Is this mod out there somewhere? Is it a good idea on a 2009, 4 Cylinder?

The following link is probably what you are referring to, and yes, it is still valid:

Yes, thanks that is it. It's awfully long to wade through and understand. Can someone summarize and tell me if my stock 2009 4 Cyl should be concerned? If so, where do you get the parts for that fix. Thanks!

Just read that thread, take it apart and remove the old filter, and install the Uni filter mentioned at the bottom of that thread's page. Your 2009 4 cyl has that crap, as all 4 cyls do.
