If you were still looking for sliders, Avid's are about as high and tight as you can get. Here's a picture of them on my truck to give you an idea. You can scroll through my build thread if you're interested as well.

    About $330 IIRC.

Thanks! So far so good. I can feel the difference with the extra weight. Steering is heavier which is nice. Took away 2-3mpg's though. They're pretty quiet on the road. No complaints though.

CanisLupus - thanks for the recommendation, I'll check it out. Nice truck!! I'm loving the high clearance rear bumpers the more I see them.

Sure. I will advise that Avid sliders only do anything if you get the weld on version. The bolt on version is a little different from other vendor's bolt ons. They bolt onto the cab where running boards mount, not to the frame like other company's bolt on versions.

So, if you don't want weld ons, then I would recommend BAMF's. They are also pretty high and tight, bolt to the frame, and are about the same price.

I love my rear HC...Pelfrey FTW!

Thanks, I need to get my rig cleaned up. The last good pics are with the old rims / tires. IMHO if your just into looks and worry about getting your truck scratched don't bother with sliders and bumpers, they add a lot of weight. I also feel that way with these new rims. The rings will get thrashed in the rocks for sure. Oh well they can be replaced. As far as the sliders go. Most do stick out a bit but that's where the protection comes in. They have saved my sides a few times and the kickout too (my rear fender area would surely be bashed a couple of times had I not had it. Enjoy the "newness" then after you get a few scratches then go for it. I love that Pro grill.

sorry to bug again, but i've got a question:

in the process of buying suspension for my '14 OR, thinking of going with a standard travel FOX 2.5 coilover up front.

Do you daily drive your truck? any issues with drive-ability after lifting the front with the TRD coils and retaining the OEM UCA?

asking because i'm not looking for a huge lift up front, simply trying to level it out (like yours) and think an aftermarket UCA might be overkill.

    thanks!

    ps: nice truck!

Thanks man! No issues at all with the lift and I daily drive it. The Baja suspension was designed around using the stock UCA's, which is one reason why I chose it. When doing the lift I felt aftermarket UCA's would have been overkill for my needs, especially on a new truck. The TRD engineers say that you can run different UCA's for increased wheel travel if you want, but as is the system is a perfect match and my alignment comes out fine while riding very well on the street.

I really like the Fox kits and thought about getting it but after running coilovers on my last car, and one before that, I got tired of messing with them all the time and wanted a simple spring/shock combo, and in the case of the TRD Baja suspension it's tuned specific to the vehicle.

Kickass build, bud. I just bought a 15 Double Cab TRD Off-Road two weeks ago (when my deal on a Pro fell through), and now I want to put on a set of Bilstein 6112's (essentially the same setup that you have), 265/75/16 BFG AT KO2's & the black Pro beadlock wheels. And now I know exactly what it will look like afterward! (it even answered my "white letters in or out" argument - black out)

Did you have any issues with the shift points when you switched tire sizes?

How do you like the TA KO2 vs the KO's?

Thanks guys. No issues with the shift points, and I've had the TSB done for engine pinging which also seems to firm up the transmission shift points. The only difference I noticed with the tires are heavier steering which I like, and a minor loss in initial acceleration. Other than that these KO2's have been a pretty awesome tire so far.

Would you mind holding a yard stick up against your wheels so I can see how the offset is on the tires vs the stock size? Im considering getting the 17" TRD 4Runner wheels since they apparently stick out a bit farther then the beadlocked wheels do.

    Hey Jim,

Just ordered my Bilstein 6112's with 5160's in rear with icon aal. I know you have the same setup in the rear, so how does it do since the 5160's are only up to 1" and the Icons add 1.5"?
Probably .5" doesn't mean much, especially since I won't offroad
    Thx

I don't notice any issues, but then again I'm not doing any hardcore wheeling or flexing. They still feel like they have plenty of travel. I don't think it'd be a big deal.

I swear one of these days I'm gonna take this thing out and have some fun with it if I could find a place open enough.

Those 6112's look nice! I'm looking forward to reading more about them as they come out.
