I’m hoping that some of the folks who have already purchased will allow me to use their photos for my IG page.

I’m pretty stoked on the excitement of this new project.

I say your going to be disappointed.

I’m still trying to find solutions to the original problem of relocating the am/fm antenna.

This is a time intensive endeavor. This also happens to be a side business. I own a separate company that I run on the daily that requires complete focus, daily. I get a few hours every day to dedicate to this in between my toddler and my wife.

I’ll find my design solutions and I will have a product ready, but it most likely won’t be on your timeline. Sorry.

Received my bullet today, looks great in person. Now I am not relishing the install process - dropping the headliner and all. It would be nice if this screwed from the top!

Will the new bullet cap be sealed when installed? Or do I need to use some silicone on the edges at install time?

No silicone necessary. This will seal just as the factory shark fin does.

you won’t actually have to remove the entire headliner. It actually only takes me about 20 minutes to install one now. There is a great write up here somewhere. I’ll find it and link it. I keep forgetting to do so.

This is the guide I used to put the OG low profile antenna in and it’s not terribly difficult. It’s just kind of spooky pulling the liner down, but if I can do it I’m sure anyone can.

Had a lil extra time this morning and popped it in. @Anderson is right about it taking ~20 min.

Still waiting for one of the Prinsu rack owners to post up pics. All of us Drifter owners have a difficult time taking great photos that represent the depth and profile of the cover due to the overhand of the shell.

    I don't have a Prinsu but I have a FrontRunner rack.

Ill get mine installed sometime next week I think. Need to get thru this week then off till the 6th.

Ill takes pics of before and after. However to top of my shark fin is cut down because it hit the FrontRunner rack and was pushing the roof in.

Right now I have a bar directly in front of the sloping part of the fin, probably a 1/8” or less from touching it. I avoid standing on that bar because it will flex and touch. I’ll be sure to get a before and after but if you want a certain bar placement for the before pic let me know and I’ll move it. I could also snap a before pic and shoot it to you to see if it’s the angle you want (in my work truck now, would have to wait till tomorrow as it will be dark when I get home today). Let me know, I’d be happy to get you what you want.
