The memories......

 

Probably not the place to come to for advice on LITERALLY ANYTHING, but I ain't got nowhere else to go.
I've been stuck on someone who left me over a year ago, and it still bothers me as much as it did when it happened. I know I'm wrong to feel the way i do, but I can't seem to make it stop. No matter what I do, who tells me to stop. Nothing.
Someone please hit me with a large rock on the head.

 

Yeah, I know the feeling bud. Took me two years to get over the first one, I’m creeping up on a year and a half now on this one. I did nothing wrong either. I’ve been lied to constantly, etc. Even though I wasn’t clingy level, to my disbelief I was told I “cared too much”...
But even after all that, I still care for her nonetheless. Call me a simp or whatever, I don’t care. It’s worse because I work with her again... so

 

I can tell you two things for sure, don’t turn into a workaholic and don’t stress eat, well they were both effective for me, they weren’t the healthiest outlet.
Some sort of exercise is a great healthy hobby to help get your mind back in track.
A lot of the healing comes with age, I was pretty similar after my first relationship ended, I found out within 6 to 8 months that she wasn’t worth it anyway, she was in jail for felony charges and drug use not too long after we split, she had a whole separate life that her family and I had no idea about.

After certain amount of time you will either realize why are you letting this person who doesn’t care about your control so much of your life, or you’ll realize that she wasn’t worth it in the first place, but that comes with age/maturity.

Sort of. Omaha isn’t, the rest of the state, very much. I have yet to encounter someone brave enough to tell me off because of it. But I’m 6’1”, 300lbs and usually wear some sort of pro 2A shirt so maybe that has something to do with it.
