    2004 and yeah the 5.3 I found the leak though its the oil pan gasket so itll just have to be replaced

    I heard engines don't need oil to run. So just drain it all out and keep driving it :rolleyes:

    My buddy didn't change the oil in his 5.7 vortec since he got the truck(3 years). Changed the oil, blew the motor about a month ago lol

    Thats how my first car was. Previous owner didn't change the oil for years. I changed it and immediately got a lifter tap. Sent it over to a buddy's shop to have the top end cleaned and looked over.....he called to tell me that there was about 4-5 inches of oil sludge in the oil pan and bottom of the motor. :(

    Ended up rebuilding the whole thing and selling it. Needless to say, I got hosed

    I worked all summer for that car. The people moved and i wrote them about it. Never heard a thing about it. The girl that bought my car has had absolutely no trouble with it and loves it. I was just too upside down in it :(

    hahaha thats smart of him :rolleyes: it looks like its just the oil pan gasket thats leaking so not a big deal
    They probably knew that it wasnt going to last either thats not right. atleast at the end of all that you ended up with a tacoma
