I can run 87 too but if I get better MPG with 89 or 93 then I'll run that :p

ill give a report later then, and keep in mine this is my first tank, so ill run 93 in the next two tanks and get an average mileage on the three... that should be a better estimate.

true, the hesitation comes from the Computer having a tune for 93 loaded, if you lower the octane, its gonna take a bit for the computer to adjust, plus theres always that last bit of 93 left in the line before you start to use the 87/89

You can run around loosing trip meters and radio presets or just use 87 to 89 to 93 and be fine. :)

    Its all preference

Don't tell Sam that. He believes you should buy a new vehicle once it hits 100k instead of doing a little maintenance

93 will just be a waste of money on the 2.7 Sam. Only the 4.0 is actually designed for high octane

And this is why I'll happily stick with 87 and 89. No pinging or other issues with the truck, so why try to change it up.

    Never said that.

Instead of putting money into shocks, brakes, fixing rust, batteries, alternators, engines, etc., there comes a point where you cut your losses and trade up for something newer. I, however, prefer to do that before shit starts going wrong.
