I work for my uni biology department. lots of freshmen and sophomores that pass through my labs are pre-med doctor hopefuls

some of these motherfuckers don't even know how the fuck to read.

i fucking color code everything for these dumb twats

but every month I get called in because shit I made was contaminated, because some fucking freshmen can't match colors.


I know these feels. I know them very well.

but you know what they call the guy with the shittiest grades out of med school?

Doctor.

I'm pretty much as fresh as they get, I just finished school in June and I'm a stationary engineer working as a millwright. Learning a whole new trade, getting a handle on the equipment, not only learning how to operate each piece but having a deep understanding on how it works, because if it breaks I have to know how to fix it.

Some of the guys have 6 weeks training on a single piece. I have had two months on the entire plant.

My faith in the ability of the human race has diminished.

Everyone has brain farts, it's the ones constantly brain-farting that are scary.

 

We have colour coded brushes (black for the floor, white for pasteurized equipment, orange for unpasteurized, etc). People fuck that up all the time. It's hard to say whether its because they're lazy, ignorant, or just plain stupid.

 

Own a tanning salon.

They screw up the most stupid easy stuff. Clean the beds with the bottles labeled BEDS. Clean the standups with the bottles labeled STANDUPS. They screw that up. Do NOT use anything but water to clean the spray tan booth...what do they do? Use chemicals and destroy a $30k piece of equipment.
