Doesn't get better with age, electronic hiring is nonsense. Unfortunately a trend that will likely continue for a long time.

Seriously. don't act all high and mighty because you're not trudging through the waves of bull shit like the rest of us....you'll have to be educated on what ever you get hired to do no matter what.

So enjoy not being in school now, you'll probably be later when a robot replaces what ever job you think you'll be having for ever.

I go to community college, i hear and see all the stories of a 1/4 of my classmates, they're older people 40s+ going back to school because they lost their job. Not saying it will happen but make a plan so you don't look like a dumbass if you do lose your job

Learn a trade or be highly skilled. Everybody else is at risk from electronic workers who are cheaper, don't complain, and don't get sick.

Holy fuck, no need to write a book. I was kidding. I'm 18 with a job I could make a career if I wanted to, but I'm going OTR when I turn 21.

Well thank you, i appreciate that :)

I am still doing some general studies now and working on picking a specific program to start either next spring or next fall. And if i have to tranfer, it will be two towns over to a small university.

Do i know what i want to do? Not really. :(

Do i know what my interests are and can i find something i'll do good at? i hope so.

I've considered nursing, automotive tech, forestry....still indecisive.

Anybody really, if you want to talk about it. When I was out of high school (no aspirations to go to college) it was a lot easier to find work than it is for new graduates today, and I had some stints of unemployment so I'm pretty empathetic and interested in others experiences.

Those are pretty much not related whatsoever. :D

If you have the knack and drive for the work, nursing (of those 3) will take you much further in many ways. They're all hands on jobs, is that a draw to you?
