Awesome job Dustin. I'm glad yours went better than mine, I am most likely going to have to retake my statics class next semester meaning I can't take Thermodynamics, Dynamics, of Solids. So graduation may be extended or I can take a huge dump on my GPA and keep on going

I know I did. 100 homework average, first test 90, final about 85 or so I feel like, it's just that I made a 27 on the second test. Not only did I not know Method of Sections, I went back and looked at the test and the rest of the problems literally took 5 minutes. Must have been in derp mode.

I went to his office quite a bit for help. But when you have two tests and a final, too late is too late.

So my dad forgot yesterday was my birthday

And my dad forgot my birthday as well, it was on November 6th hadn't heard from him until yesterday when I texted him and ripped him a new asshole for it.

Damn. I didn't do that because I honestly think he didn't realize what day it was, he knew that the date was getting close. Or maybe I'm just defending him

In the class? I'm not sure about that though, but I'm in the honors college so I'm surrounding by people who blew through highschool like me, and among them I am probably just average.

Final was today, I did well but not well enough. Because of my 27, I needed a 95 (raw, no extra credit) to get into the B range. That, coupled with professor adding 10 points if you score an A, would give me an A.
I think I made a 80-90. Meaning I MAY get a B. If not, C...

It was my stupid mistake. Won't be happening again, my GPA was 3.87 coming into this semester. Would be 4.0 if I didn't make an 88 in Cal I first semester, it was my only B.

I honestly think we have, but I have a terrible memory and all this studying really isn't helping lmao. I had texted him twice before yesterday asking "hey dad, what was on the 6th" and yesterday he posted something on facebook that set me off so I laid into him over facebook message 1)because I knew facebook would atleast tell me if he saw the message. and 2) because I had enough of holding it in.

But he also walked out of my life when I was 9 months old and headed to another state then came back when I was 7 and has been in and out of my life, took a 30 day trip to jail a few years ago, and once I started doing well for myself (working full time in high school, full ride scholarship to UTK for engineering etc.) he suddenly shows up again. So he's had me going off on him coming for 19 years now. lol.

I just thought I'd share why I went off on him because I'm sure our father relationship background's aren't the same lol

 

My memory is terrible too. Might be info overload, I tell people jokes or stories then pause and forget and restart. Lmao

Yes our relationships are very different and I'm really sorry to hear about that. My dad didn't walk out on me but my parents did get a divorce when I was very young and it was every other weekend from there on out. As a child we were best friends but as I grew up we didn't mix as well. When I got my license I was so busy hanging out with my friends and working that I didn't go see him near as much and I'll always feel guilty for that. I go see him more often now to try and make up for it, when my grandma died I got a wake up call about giving them my time. We see movies frequently and went to see the Eagles in October.

He knew my birthday was coming close, but to make a long story short he is on disability and only works a couple days a week, spends the rest of the week cooped up in his house so honestly, I doubt he knew Sunday was December 7th. It wasn't anything malicious but it still got at me. I got over it though, mistakes happen. If I thought he didn't care it would be different.

On a lighter note, congratulations on your full ride scholarship! What is your GPA requirement to keep it? Mine is 3.5.
