    Yea, any I have left after books are in the mutual fund that my "college fund" became.

    Competing with the other engineers is hard, but talking to one of my mom's friends who worked high in the rankings at Nissan in smyrna (where I'm hoping to end up after college) said that they'd offer an engineer with a 3.0 and hands-on experience the job before a 4.0 kid with no hands-on. That's where I think my advantage will be. I'm not super book smart, but I've built the motor in a wrx and 350z plus am a technician at work and have experience with design/development on a race team.

    Damn! Yeah, experience will do it. I don't have much mechanical experience yet but I do have one internship under my belt last summer at a paper plant and one coming this summer at ChevronPhillips Petrochem.

    Just kidding, there are two locations near me. One right by me and another about 1 hour away. They put me at the one far off because they're doing a big project right now. I imagine I'll be doing some SAP work, hopefully not much, probably going around the plant with full time engineers learning about how their systems and processes work and will probably have a hand in throwing together some analyses. I doubt I'll be designing anything new for them but I never really know.

    In short, whatever they tell me to do.
