    I need some opinions folks, need some new tires and I don't know what to get.
    Size: 255/85-16 or 265/75-16
    Needs: Good on wet roads, good on dry roads, and decent in mud
    preferences: load range C or D, but I could go back with load range E

    Hard to find a 255/85/16 in anything that isn't E rated, IIRC. I'd be more inclined to go 255s for mud, myself, as the skinny tire should help more than the wider 265/75, but it's a pretty marginal difference.

    Yeah, 255's would be close to the same weight but a little more ground clearance, plus they would look a little bit better.

    Dad thinks I should get KO2's, we have them on the f250 and I hate them, terrible in mud and they have odd road manners when towing.
    I'm looking at ST maxx's, however they wouldn't have road hazard warranty like the KO2's.

    Are you concerned on weight or price?
    I am going 255/85s and I searched as much as I could. Bfg km2 was talked about the most, second toyo Mt, third cooper st maxx, and then what I'm getting Cooper st. Then the serious off brands like truxs Mt and another one. I'm going for 255s cause I want a 33 and weight savings toward 33s.

    More concerned about rubbing with stock wheels and getting a taller wheel, but weight would help.

    The KM2's are kinda expensive, haven't done research on the toyos, and i've only heard great things about the cooper ST maxx, haven't heard much about the ST's

    If the km2s are to expensive for you, then the toyos aren't even worth looking at. Last time I check I think toyos was $50 a piece more than km2s. My buddy has st maxxs on his 1500 and he said he loves them.

    Is it worth the $36.24 ($51.24 after shipping) per tire for the 255-85 over the KO2's?
    or is it worth the $39.96 (After shipping) for the ST Maxx in 265-75 vs the KO2's?
