All they do is provide a thicker (foamier?) foam to suspend dirt with. You still get the best results from hand-washing after you apply the foam, and then rinsing. A foam cannon isn't a magic wand, lol. A foam cannon and rinse job works for dust or pollen, but doesn't work well for the road film that you get from driving in the rain, or for dirt/mud that went on wet and then dried. :notsure:

What I do for mine is to presoak/rinse with the low pressure nozzle on my PW, then foam cannon, then hand-wash after foaming it, rinsing the rag in a clean bucket of water regularly. Then I rinse it with a higher pressure nozzle on the PW, then dry it with the shammy because I have enough lime in my water that it leaves spots otherwise.

Seems on par with what I've heard. Basically a waste for me right now lol

    Yeah, it's not magic.

I mean, during the dry season or the pollen season around here all you need to do is foam blast it and PW it off and it'll be spotless again. But if you've driven through a rain storm and you have that road film on there the foam cannon and PW method won't get it all off, same as going to the touchless car wash won't. It'll make it better, but not perfect. :notsure:

Gratuitous freshly scrubbed Ford pictures to piss all you 'utes' off.

Its not intended to be an end all be all. Its just to help lift off the majority of the dirt and make hand washing easier

Absolutely nothing will ever beat a true hand wash.

You would not believe how many times i've had to explain thisZ

I mean I knew that it wasn't a "wash" was just wondering how well or if at all it took off the lose dirt and such.

It will remove mud and muck, but not the haze/film on everything. That has to be hand washed off.

Basically just like any other pressure washer

Makes me wonder how many foam cannons get sent back because they don't work right because "my car is still dirty after I used it, piece of junk"

Think I'm gonna have to get wheels and tires sooner than I wanted. Had a tire patched a couple weeks ago, and the same damn tire got a nail about 1" away from the last patch. They couldn't patch it and it had to be plugged. They don't make my tires anymore either
