I ended up having the ARE distributor put on Yakima tracks for $200 ($100 for the tracks and $100 for install).

I’m having some fitment issues due to the side to side curvature of the cap and I believe CBI left out a plate for the mounting feet.. so I’m waiting to find out more about that. The rack is off for the time being.

Can’t make up my mind on the front bumper. I think Demello makes one of the best looking bumpers but I’m definitely not a fan of their hoop offerings and the abscence of a light bar slot (why do I want DO stamped on the front of my truck?). It’s like I want a hybrid Demello/Pelfreybilt. ATH Fab sort of fills that void but I need aluminum :notsure:

Have you looked into Brute Force Fab?

@bski22 has a pretty nice aluminum front from him

Subbed! Same reason I bought my truck though landscape/nature photography is more a hobby for me than my full time job. Great photos!

Have your thoughts on tires changed over time?
You still diggin' the BFG AT TA KO2s compared to the Cooper ST Maxx?

Does the size influence your thinking on each brand?

Your were running E rated LT tires for both right?

Love the truck, she sits pretty.

Thank you Sir. Yeah it’s hard to do a brand comparison since it’s really size that makes me prefer the ko2. I keep having situations where I think to myself how I would have had to flip into 4wd if I were still running the skinnies.

I wouldn’t hesitate to try 285 st maxxx next go around.

And yep E for both. The ride can be a little rough sometimes but it’s not something that really bothers me.

    None....YET!!
    Hey,
I was wondering how hard it was to remove all of the fake beadlock bolts and get them powdercoated? Are there torque ratings to put them back in etc..?
    Thanks

It was pretty simple but just a little time consuming. Not sure about torque rating but I used a socket wrench when putting them back on just to ensure the powder coating didn't chip off. I also used a dab of blue loctite on each one and so far none have come out.

    Sub’d, great looking truck!

I basically have the same build but I went with 885’s and top spacers to get the full 3” up front. When you put the rear bumper on did you notice a decrease in lift? My concern is getting that high front end if I put a steel bumper on back. I’m running the lighter Dakar leaf pack on my truck.

Thanks! The steel bumper/tire gate did pull the back down just a bit but I wouldn't be too worried about it. I'd imagine a standard steel bumper replacement would hardly effect the rear ride height at all.

I'm thinking of getting the pro headlights with the black housings but trying to decide if it's really worth it. Thoughts?

I think it’ll look great with the grill. I just wish the pro grill wasn’t so expensive...

It’s too bad there weren’t knockoffs like there are for the 3rd gens. It does so much to change the overall look of the front of the truck. If and when I get a bumper I might try mounting my current LED bar behind the grill like Redsyota:
