Have any of you seen (or done) black painted center caps on the factory steel wheels?

Just scheduled appt for oil change and for them to look at my clutch, as it squeaks like a motherfracker every morning and sometimes all day. I'm going to be really pissed if I get a "Cannot replicate" response, and have a couple months worth of clutch squeak documented with mileage on video.

Also trading in stat, I have to re-register before the month is up and would prefer just ditch. Single cab was perfect when I bought it ~1yr3mo ago, bachelor for life status. Not the case anymore - need to make woman shit out babies, truck sucks countless amounts of dicks at CO elevation regardless of suspension/tire size/etc. I'm not sure why I'm rage posting here right now in a thread I've loved forever, possibly because I just scheduled an appointment online and had to delete most of it because it was too long. Fuck clutch squeak, no power, equivalent gas mileage to 270hp/278tq v6 4runners. I'm out (hoping to stay yota with '14 4runner, if not, RAM)

    Hopefully final shots:

    I feel your pain,

I have had my clutch M/C and pedal replaced, squeak stopped but there was still a squeak under the vehicle.

    Your RC looks great man,

Whatever path you chose I hope your happy. I have enjoyed your RC, I love an RC with a camper but your right about the fuel economy, it stinks.

Anyone know at what torque the oil drain plug will strip out at? I just changed my oil and bought a torque wrench, but I just realized I had the wrench set at 38 ft lbs. the manual says 28 though. Do y'all think any damage was done at that torque?

Just got really tight and then the wrench clicked. I thought I was good, until I looked at the wrench again this morning. It's not leaking or anything, and i hate to mess with it anymore. Didn't feel stripped to me, but now I'm worried. Do you think the screw will strip before the oil pan? That would be better to just replace the screw if it is damaged. I wonder what the fail rating is on the threads?

Ok, your probably right. No harm done. I just got a little excited when I thought I did everything perfect, but then noticed the wrench was wrong. The marker was way below 40ft lbs, so it can't be that bad.

I can vouch for the 2.7 sucking ass. Just moved from Fort Collins and i had a hell of a time just getting over HorseTooth Mtn. Lots of power in Oregon though....sea level.

Yeah, I've read a lot on here about the pros of the 2.7, and I don't doubt its reliability and grunt for many applications. I'm sure it's a lot more enjoyable at sea level. It has hauled a lot of gear around during moves and even towed a loaded uhaul trailer successfully, but when you have your bed empty and are just trying to maintain speed on gentle but long inclines on the interstate... #$^@ I recall it being a disappointment in stock form on the same bench mark hills, so while my suspension, tires, and camper shell didn't help - I'd still be frequently frustrated without them.

I like to ride in the fast lane at <5mph over (75-80), but if you can't keep up between those speeds on i-25, you're going to have to ride between semi trucks in the granny lane. Of course I always get over for the nut jobs that need to go 100mph, but having to either downshift or downshift + get in slow lane excessively gets old. It'd be one thing if I was getting exceptional fuel economy, but lugging the engine in 5th or downshifting to 4th and riding it out for 20 seconds cancels that out. Just never could have known how bad it'd be during my little test drive... driving it in any kind of wind and on hills really says it all.

    Hmm,

Honestly bro, I would try and get it mounted in the open area under the aux switches and stuff, unless it was to large of a unit, then on the back wall maybe.

If you don't need to change channels that much and don't need to mess with the controls often could you mount it under the pass seat?
