^^^SingleCabGuy in 2011 I bought one of the last Rangers made. Then 3,000 miles later I hit a bear at 80 mph. No more Rangers so I bought my Taco.

lucky for you, those things were pigs on gas. amazing that a '14 v8 silverado can squash those in mpgs.

Actually I had the 2.3 liter and it was great on gas. On a 300 mile trip to home and back I could squeeze 28-29 mpg. Plus the engines lasted for ever.

Taco is much nicer than the Datsun.
I hated hitting the back of my head on the glass all the time.

    It was an awesome truck.
De-cranked the torsion bars to give it a nice rake. 235/60-14 up front and 245/60-14 Eagles in the rear.

I was thinking about my el camino and did you guys know they have some massive storage space behind the seats. In my 80s one you can fit.2 full size spare behind the seat and probably 2 donut spares to.

I got the new weathertechs threw them in thrusday night without testing the clutch. friday morning i went to back out of my garage the clutch pedal stuck behind the floor mats. Not thinking to clearly I forgot to turn the truck off or take it out of reverse so when I opened the door and popped the clutch out it took me for a ride out of the garage. I called weathertech and they said on their website that they don't fit manual transmissions, when I looked on the site it says fitment issue but unless you click on the link no one would know. Im just happy that im not in a hospital, another stupid mistake that coulda been avoided. Damage estimates range from 1500 to 3500 depending on which body shop i take it to. Oh and when i did finally get it stop two feet off from the basketball pole that cemented in the ground the door was flat against the fender.

That sucks Nick! I have Weathertechs in my manual truck as well. I fortunately cut down a spot where the clutch goes before installing them... although I admittedly had a near miss like you because I had apparently not cut down the mat enough. Fortunately there was no accident and I then did additional trimming. It's been working great for the last two years now.

Once trimmed they work great, but I understand if you are gun-shy about them now. But I can send a pic of what I did if you're interested.
