I really wanted one of those, but I wasn't going to wait for a last run. The difference is marginal, and at that, it's marginal speculation. That said ... I still wanted the LCE header

Did you confirm with Gadget that they have pre-made maps for your specific intake/header/exhaust combo? I'm not exactly keen to the idea of having my wife do highway pulls in my tacoma while I adjust maps on my laptop. I hung up that crap when I sold my STi.

Even if it did cost more money then the DT header, I still would have bought it, but I bought the DT anyway. I'm satisified with it, but the LCE is still a better product.

So far I've added an Advance folding bed cover and since removed it. Gave it to my son in Maine, he has an 05 2wd. GT perfect fit seat covers. Weathertech floor mats and window vent visors. Waag center brush/grill guard. Hose clamp tailgate mod. Turned off the seat belt chime. Added Ultra-Gauge. Trailer hitch. Softopper. Replaced sun visors with slide out style. Toyota bed extender. Had Firestone Destinations and now Michelin LTX AT2 in stock size. More mods to come; Fog lights, locking storage in bed, intermittent wipers. Now looking for Radio/HU upgrade. and maybe a lift way down the road.
Looks good Canes. I like the tool box. Can you get a decent amount of stuff in it ? I have a hard tonneau cover right now but thinking about the tool box instead.

Did you look into the runners on your DT header? Mine had big bits of slag splatter and really ugly merges. From what I've seen It cost them more to make because the header has more R&D in it (Shorty vs mid length) and higher quality welds. I haven't seen the merges in the LCE but if the welds on the outside are any indication.....

Like I said, I'm not disappointed in my DT header it does what it was advertised to do, but I recognize a better built product when I see one.

Thanks. This is a very small box, but it's perfect for this size truck.

Hey all you single cab folks. I'm leaning towards the purchase of a regular cab. I've had several friends tell me they really like the extra space behind the seats in the access cab.
My question is this: have any of you regretted the purchase of a single cab due to lack of space behind the front seat?

I had a '94 extended cab, '03 Tundra Access Cab, '06 Silverado Crew Cab, a couple of company SUVs, and now the '08 Regular cab.

Yes... I like the extra lockable and weather-free storage space behind the seat. There is enough room behind the RC seatback for a notebook and my emergency supply bag, but shopping or anything else requires the use of the bed, and even with the shell and the BedRug, things get damp back there when it's raining.

I went from a '99 ex. cab to an '12 regular cab and I haven't regretted it. I just had to come up with a secure way to put stuff in the bed. Locking tailgate latch and a secure cover of some type. I think I miss having speaker sound from behind the most. ... and I did slam my elbow into the rear window the first time I reached back to open it, but only once...ouch.

I use to drive an extended cab ranger.all I can say is its forced me to keep my truck clean instead of turning the back seats into a storage unit.threes enough room behind the seat fort plenty of stuff I was even able to build a gun rack that attaches to the wall behind the seat.very handy for hunters
