I agree that the Softop looks better. And I'll admit, I do feel a bit "old man" driving this thing around now. haha.

I got a deal on cragslist for this thing, and I fugure I can just turn and sell it if i decide I don't want to keep it.

The extra height is nice for me though cause I can still fit my bike standing up in the bed of the truck. I was also thinking a hard top would provide some level of security for hauling around snowboarding stuff, etc.

I agree with both of you that a lift and some new wheels/tires would be sick. I just can't bring myself to make any modifications on a brand new vehicle. haha. Is that weird?

Here's a before pic, albeit, a shitty one:

So is it true that I need a lift and wheel spacers to fit 285/75/16 just my leveling kit won't work? Gonna lift 3inch it in a few months but need tires now

Damn. That's amazing I forgot why I came on here..

Do most people run kings or foxes when it comes to an TC LT kit on a reg cab.? Or icons.?

I'm set on the front and Workin out small crap and and finally focus on the rear.

Can someone please help me with my rear end. I wanna build this truck to be a racer and a jumper. If you scope out lil t the total chaos build that's pretty much what I'm going for but I'm wanting my set up to be a more one of a kind of rock hard dialed in kit. Any feed back is appreciated.

Singlecabguy inbox is still empty and damn I'm jealous that's pretty a damn amazing and I got a good one sitting next to me.

I just need a solid kit and way to set it up I'll be having dmz set up my whole truck and swap my my engine to a 4.0 maybe more depending on ??. I'll keep you guys posted i meet with him in October. First comes a kid, a move to Vegas then a bad ass truck haha.

Yeah I think talked to mike at dmz and sometime in October I'll drive over and meet him to draw up a blue print for my truck. He said he is backed up right now

In the meantime I'm moving to Vegas and have a water jetter, welder and a whole crew at my disposal... Only problem is they fix big rig trucks not little desert runners.

Once I get my list front to rear on what I want on it and need on it and what needs to be done frame wise and seat wise(back issues) and blah blah blah. I'll get started myself with easy shit then drop it off when the time comes.

In honest opinion what size shock and what brand would be the best for the LT option. I get wrapped up on all the bs online with brands and size that I can't really make an honest choice

    also removed my diff drop.

with the 3" toytech lift and the diff drop kit the driveshafts were at 6.7 deg driver and 5.7 deg passenger. without the diff drop they increased around 2.5 degrees to 9 deg driver and 8.2 deg passenger. livable. will just need boots eventually.

I removed my diff drop and immediately got the needle bearing vibe. Oh well, I'd rather replace a bearing than a front diff.

500 bucks for a running 5.3l newer ones from a monte ss are aluminum block. I know weight is a concern but the power gained would be worth it. Just get stiffer springs. If nose diving is a concern just ad weight to the rear or get really crafty and set the motor back. Sounds like you are gonna be doing some chopping anyway.

Does anyone know the length of the stock reg cab driveshaft flange to flange? I need a new one after the lift and haven't had a chance to measure yet.

    God damn it...

Ok so immediately following the mild 3" lift I got the decel grind noise coming right behind the tcase. The truck has 3k miles... I took it to a local driveline shop and they said the cause was probably the 14 degree angle at the front ujoint. They wanted too much for a new shaft and cv and I was going to shop around.

I read a few threads on this grinding noise and there is nothing conclusive.
