I love all your trucks! I don't know what I would do without the little extra in cab space my AC provides but I think the RCs are the cat's ass!!!

Here is my 08 4x4. Spacer lift in front with blocks in back. OME 885's and bilstein 5100's on the way. Should i throw the Dakar in the rear or leave the blocks in. Also, what is everyones input on new rims. Solid black, black and crome? Maybe black out the entire truck....front/rear bumper black, black grille, black rims??? Any help would be great, i dont know what route i want to go with this truck yet.

Did your truck come with both black bumpers? I thought about throwing on the black fender flairs also.

It just depends. I've had blocks and AAL's, I'm one of the few people who thinks that blocks provide a more comfortable ride. Plus they don't squeak. Depending on the size of the block you might start to see axle wrap over time though. It's not been a problem for me using 1.5 inch blocks however.

To each their own, I don't wheel my truck hard though. Mainly just dirt roads, hauling kayaks and stuff from lowes.

Yeah, i have heard both sides. Sounds like i use my truck about the same as you so i dont need anything too extreme. I just have to get rid of the spacer in front. I just dont know if i should go with the OME 885 springs and a 10mm spacer or just pull the trigger on the 887 springs. I dont have a winch or anyting on the front so not much weight on the front end at all.

My reason for having more leafs is you can carry more in the bed so a dirt bike or some wood doesn't make the truck squat and my ride quality definitely improved but my stock springs were toast they bent the other way

If i were to take the block out, do i just get a kit with an AAL or new leaf springs?

Yep you can buy just AAL and it's a lot cheaper rather then buying a new leaf pack. I found a pair of slightly used springs with a AAL already installed but my stock spring where done

I would definitely get the 885s- they'll get you 3 inches. 887s will be too much

I got a 96 Tacoma 4x4 2.7L that needs a new motor. Can I put the 3.4L V6 in it and how much work would it take ?

I've heard that swap is fairly easy. just gotta fab up some motor and tranny mounts, drop the motor in, the v6 ecu will bolt in old ecu place and you just gotta repin a couple pins on the dash harness (i believe the ac ones not sure) and your good to go? Seen countless people do the swap. Seems easy when you have the v6 out of a tacoma as well.

It's not even broken in yet but I can see where your want to go its easier to rally on something you don't have to drive every day and they have power

Yeah I got to test drive a can am 1000 and about creamed my pants it has so much power and throttle response and also got to drive there 1000 4 wheeler and that thing will flip over backwards no problem and it had no problem just driving using 2 wheel drive but the darn things cost just as much as our trucks

Sounds like some cool plans for the truck. I can't wait to see it. I kicked around the idea of a 3.4L swap for my 3rz but decided to just fix it instead. My buddy has a Chevy LS motor in his Tacoma. Wow!! That 4.7L swap is going to be sweet.

What rear fiberglass is that and how wide is it?
