2010 and earlier, Regular cabs were available with SR5 option package.

You could locate complete doors or door parts from one of those.

Less than one mpg probably. Going higher hurts a little, especially on the highway, but it's going to be what wheels and tires you choose that make or break you. Tread pattern and weight are just as important to consider as size, but sometimes overlooked

    Yup...

Bit of an increase in wind resistance, but it's not majorly significant... I'd call it maybe 5-10% at worst (and don't freak, 10% is only around 2mpg)

Well I will say that my 2tr-fe has no carbon build up on it but I get somewhere around 16-18 mpgs with 4" of lift up front and 1.5-2 in the rear with 265/75/16 Duratracs on a 5spd.

    Dunno what I'm doing right....
I don't generally drive like grandma, but I'm also not pulling jackrabbit starts and I watch traffic ahead and ease off so I'm not powering into a mess.

At the same time, I don't have a problem putting the hammer down and punching it up to 90+ to hop around some idiot pulling the hypermiling bullshit and backing up traffic 2 miles behind him.

It's fun to watch the Ultragauge.
Morning commute average MPG for the tank will creep up to 26-27.
Heavy traffic on the way home and it might be 23 when I pull into the driveway, might be 25... depends on traffic.

Got this sweet shot a couple of weeks ago... then traffic home the next day blew it totally and it ended up being one of my worst tanks.

Rich what are you getting to a tank? Somwhere in the mid to high 400's?

I normally get gas at around 350-360, but I don't run it until the light comes on. My line of work, I can't go to bed without enough gas to get to work and back (45 miles each way), so I need to keep a 90 mile reserve.

Average according to Fuelly is 24.5mpg, which translates to around 450 if I ride the needle to the E with the light on, but if I were to push it past "E" I could potentially get 500... problem is, if I am on a "bad" tank and only getting 23, then I'd be putting in 20 gallons at 460 miles.

At stock I was getting 460-80 per 19 gallons... not since the lift, tires, and wheels. Nothing changed with the highflow cat or exhaust.

Have you confirmed your odometer error with the tires/wheels?

If you've got a 5-lug and went to 31's, you're looking at an error of around 14%

    Two problems....

Your speedo will be 14% slow, so 65 indicated is closer to 75. Wind resistance is an MPG killer.
Your odometer will be 14% "slow", so an indicated 100 miles is actually 114... that means that if you get "300 miles" to a tank, you actually traveled 342 miles.

    You took 18 gallons? 300 miles was 16.7mpg. 342 miles was 19mpg

5 to maybe 7%. Speedo reads 65 but I do 71. And that is also dependent on the area's that I travel being that speedo inaccuracy changes as speed increases. Mathematical equations of circles blah blah blah. So yeah maybe 19 mpg's if accounting for inaccuracy but still aint no where near the 20+ everyone else reads.....

Speedo inaccuracy increases with speed, but the percentage remains the same.

But even if you recalibrated, the larger tires will impact MPG due to the change in the final drive ratio.

You'd theoretically get smokin' mileage at a steady 65mph, but the problem is, it's like watching my Ultragauge on the way to Vegas....
    Leave home it's at 26.5
Climb the first hill it's 22.9
Down the back side and it's 26.3... and so on. You never gain back on the downhill what you lost on the uphill.

Exactly but whitney looks way mo betta and goes deeper with the lift and tires. And soon I will have Ry Ry's old front end so I will have 10" of travel rather then lift! WIN!:D

    Oh absolutely...

But like they say, ya wanna play, ya gotta pay ;)

Just go full bore extreme and get an RC Base for a DD... then you still have a pickup and can go full LT on your rear without having to worry about the lack of a bed.

Or get a Corolla for a DD and rent a UHaul for $30 when you need a pickup.

Bonus: Owning the Corolla reduces the "Oh, Phil has a pickup, he'll help me move!"
