His truck is that random freak of nature, dont fret I only hit 95 in forth as well.... she reads about 10 under at that speed.

    Mine only reads 3 from 0-40, 6 from 40-70, and 8 70-85.

Doesn work, double cabs and extra cabs have different door panels. The lock will work but that is a whole module change. New they are 300ish a piece at dealer cost. Already looked into it. However you would have to do custom switched for the windows and then I dont even know if the regulator will work since the door panels are different.

Very long shot, door panels dont fit which means the doors themselves are different sizes

There are aftermarket locks and window kits.
I've got an aftermarket lock kit that I haven't had a chance to install.

I bought the dash switches, but in looking at the operation, it's really not needed. It's a central" system so locking or unlocking either door will lock or unlock the other, manually locking included, and the way the Taco door is designed, if you pull the door handle, it will unlock the door, so there really is no need for interior switches... just operate the regular door lock lever and it does the same as a switch.

The power window kits are a bit more of a kludge with fitting switches and stuff. The hole in the door for the crank is covered by a plug.

Screw that, I love the convenience of being able to roll down or up without the ignition being on!

I'm just happy to have a window that will actually roll down and not fall out of its track or anything on the way down.

Considering I never have a passenger, and none of my friends have driver's licenses/own cars, it's not really much of a big deal. Power windows are nice, but there's just something comforting about physically working your own shit.

If the truck didn't have air conditioning, I wouldn't complain a bit. In fact, I could probably get by without a radio since I'm pretty used to it. I just want 4 wheels and an engine, and no bull. And that's exactly what my truck gives to me. :)

Fact: manual locks and windows are lighter, by a lot.

Fact: real trucks have two doors.

Fact: if you want power amenities, it's cheaper to buy a truck that came with it.

OOOO to be young and not have aches and pains.

Ligher, ha should I go get some sweet carbon fiber body parts as well. Dont care if they are lighter or what constitutes a "real truck". Technology is the shiz and thats a fact jack

These bastards are front heavy as fuck, Jack.

    I don't have a 4x4, or a PreRunner.

Our engines are the same size as the engines in the first gen Tacomas.
First gen is a mini, second gen is a mid-size.

We suck at making power as is, why would you want to weigh it down more?

I don't understand why 4 cylinder guys add these plate bumpers when the bastards are heavy as fuck as it. lol

Yes, you should be able to swap over door locks and hook them up. Those wont draw too much. No you cant do windows because Im pretty sure the regulators will not work on top of custom switches since door panels dont swap.

And sure the displacement is similar Ry Ry but the whole motor itself is different.

Go ahead and do that. Please, please make a thread about it first. :)

You're probably the only person ever to think of using a door off an AC in place of a single cab door.
It's only been on the market for 7 years, guaranteed nobody's thought of that, or documented it on TacomaWorld or CustomTacos.
