See that's what's got me trumped I would expect you guys to get way better mileage than 16-20. And this makes me debate getting a single cab v6 tundra because the epa mileage on it is supposedly 17 city and 20 highway. (same 4.0 v6 as the Tacoma)

If I was down at a lower elevation, with less hills and wind then I would be up around 19-20. I still get tanks upwards of 19 and 20 but they are pretty rare with my location. To help, my buddies stock v6 gets 14-16.

Stock I could get 21 to 23 mpg and now with bumpers and a camper shell I average about 16-20

ahh damn why do Tacoma's have to get such crappy gas mileage. I just don't want to spend too much money on gas with a 1 hour commute to and from work. Any recommendations on reliable and fuel efficient vehicles?

I've ridden in one before. They're design and handling characteristics make them feel like a small metal death trap lol

I bet you'll feel it! You are on 33's, right? I still smile most days when I drive my truck around town. 4.88s and 35's feel awesome. Ill put on the LCE header some day.

That's nuts. Even when I spend a whole tank in 4lo I come out around 15mpg. I guess you guys are probably constantly at high revs though.

I also forgot to mention, I had one of those "she's definetly the one" moments with my wife. When I was essentially obtaining approval for my gears + header purchase, and told her that I needed a little more power to "enhance safety on the highway while merging and passing" she said, "gears? Can't you just put a v6 in it?"

    Maybe in the future..

Got one half door 85% finished. Gotta finish welding a couple spots then grind paint and install.

Sucks its the passenger side I did first cause I can't put it on for a cruise till I do driver side door cause if not I'll look stupid  :pout:
