Yep, the pre-runners have the 4x4 frame and suspension components, minus the driveline. Transfer case, front diff, driveshaft, half shafts, and the wiring.

Find a truck totaled with rear end damage, and you can probably get most of the driveline parts for relatively cheap. Lots of auto wreckers on eBay

yeah it looks like a pita to do though. I would probably sell my 2wd and buy a 4wd. they're not all that much more.

so i've had my OME lift for over a week now and i have this slight grinding noise when i'm around 40mph and pressing the clutch in and also when when i first hit the gas pedal and let off of it. it sounds like it's either towards the rear or under the cab. anybody experience this or know what it could be?

I read up on it today. I'm not too sure I wanna go that route just yet. I found a clip on YouTube where the truck makes similar noises. http://youtu.be/MzTymrYaCqU

    Same here.. '12 RC 5spd 1.5" lift

Rotational is typical. Push up on the drive shaft and look at the movement at the slip yolk part of it.. I believe this is where the noise is coming from. There are threads around here about it.
    Solutions I've read about are:
    - CV joint mod drive shaft
    - Swap the drive shaft around end for end
    - Grease the crap out of the slip yolk
    - New drive shaft

Seems like there were more but I'm old and forget stuff ... anyway RC's rule!!! lol

Does anyone know the difference between an 05-11 bumper and a 2012+? I might have the opportunity to snag a 2012 front. I don't really feel like selling my front bumper at a slight loss only to repurchase another and wait for it to come in.

I already have a pelfrey hybrid. I have the opportunity to purchase everything to convert my front to a 2012 (hood, lights, etc). Obviously my 2011 hybrid would either need to be modified or I would need to sell it and purchase a new bumper. I would prefer to go the first route and am just curious to the work that would need to be done. I would not do it but I know people who could. How much work would it be and would it ever line up correctly?
