I work in an industry where the $70,000 crew cab diesel pickup is the object everyone desires. My coworkers make fun of my little 4-banger Tacoma yet simultaneously complain that it costs them $400.00 for an oil and filter change. Some of them are paying $1500.00 or more per month for their truck payment, insurance and fuel. That's several hundred dollars a month more than my house payment.

That's a ridiculous fee for the privilege of driving around feeling special and egotistical in 8000 lbs. of rapidly depreciating bank-owned property. I get a chubby for vehicles that are built, not financed. I have always preferred the urban and off-road maneuverability of small trucks. I get really chuffed if I see an old Hilux, 4runner or Land Cruiser. I like to remind my coworkers that my truck habit is a very small portion of my income. I have invited them to go off-roading with me but they don't want to scratch their precious bank-owned pavement queens. If all else fails, tell your coworkers you are under-compensating for your giant horse cock.

Or just drive your truck and not care :notsure:. I see people get defensive all the time because someone drives a bigger truck and says something. Heck I even use to. I felt like I had to defend a purchase that in my mind was the most logical for me. Now days, if someone gives me crap I just shrug and say to each their own. Anyone that knows me personally, knows my truck is a perfect fit for my lifestyle.

I have a tan softopper on the way. It was used for a few months. I figured I will either love it or hate it but at $400 I should be able to sell it pretty quick around here just in case I don't.

I'm a lurker...and yeah I've seen some of the issues people have had. I had two great experiences with Billy though so I'd go to him again.

Lol I like the mad max comment! Hell yeah! Here is my machine. It's been my most trust worthy daily driver I have ever owned, now to put some green back in it. It's doesn't have a lift or anything yet, just trying to get an idea of what to expect with billys/eibach and no lift in rear.

When is it? I pretty much work whenever I want to since I can pick when to get on a shutdown and I can drag up when I want(if I can afford it lol). So I probably could make it happen.

I don't think dates have been posted yet but I would imagine towards the end of may as it normally is.

I may be able to. I got a job in January so I'll probably take off and enjoy some at home time with the gf around march. It'll be close. Just depends on the timing.

Well, I am going to suggest 3'' and 33's but ultimately it depends on your use of the truck and what you prefer. Do you have any desire to run trails? How often do use the bed?

I was leaning towards more 3" 33" also. Well ima need the bed due to gettin a slide in camper. I do plan on take it on the trails around here in Uwaharrie National Forest. Nothing balls to walls though lol. Looking at alot of flex without sas also.

Will also change the grey to blck to make truck strictly two-toned. Have high clearence rear bumper to install and hoping to order AP front bumper after lift and tires.

It will be some sort of Camplite 5.7 brand. There lightweight made from aluminum. Kinda bulky on the top end so i also looked at the slide in pop-ups or Arb tents.
