Hey guys havent been on here in a while due to financial stuff truck got put on the back burner, but im back! Ok heres my 06 rc 2wd 5mt...my original plan was to lower it make a nice street truck but after my time away from here I grew up and I want to lift. Ive been through this thread and cant find any 2wd rc lifted. My question is does anyone have one if so what size wheels and tires fit with what lift kit. Im thinking 3 inch hoping for 33s......these pictures of bone stock truck..I have done few mods since then

Unless you're changing the 3.31 gears in the rear end to 4:10's or even more... than lift and tires are a poor idea...expensive, difficult, and poor driving experience

Lowering it would be easier, cheaper, and more enjoyable

    Don't the 2.7's come with 4.10's?

Mines not too bad and I haven't changed the gears at all.

    Just wondering.

If I recal a 5 lug can only do so much with suspension. Id go over to the 5 lug section on this forum theres a lot of super nice trucks in there. I believe fat bobs lifts are the standard in the 5lug realm. Someone correct me if I'm wrong,

You're right. I own a 5 lug with the Fatbob lift. Very limited on what we can do with 5-lugs, unfortunately.

I think 5lugs are cool and I have a 6 lug. Ive actually browsed your build a few times. The fact that you can do so little might be beneficiary due to the fact the more you do the more headaches can arise.

Got my CAT recall done today. Everything seems to check out O.K. as far as the quality of work done goes. They did find a transfer case leak where the drive-shaft mates with the transfer case. No seal there, just some type of RTV sealant. They sealed it back up under warranty. Had to remove the drive shaft in order to do so apparently. This kind of worries me @ 41,000 miles on the truck. Didn't find much here on the forum about people having the same issue. Read a couple of threads but that's about it.

I just got my frame replaced by Toyota off that recall, waiting list was a few miles long but it feels good to not have to pay a penny out of pocket for it
