I wouldn't sell my unbuilt RC at all, much less for 11k. Reg cabs became collector items after 2016s rolled out. 25k might make me think about it and hesitate before saying no. Yes, I like mine a lot. Good luck with search.

Fuck that. I may love it but I'd be realistic lol. I'd sell mine for $25k. Buy an all stock 2wd one with the money and still have enough left to put a down payment on a diesel daily lol

Yeah, 20k+ would leave me tempted to sell. I would just pick up an old land cruiser and then save up for a work truck like Kase.

Lol, not giving in. Plus with the engine troubles I doubt I will secure a buyer anytime soon. I'd rather save 10k and drop in a new engine and then start planning on SAS. Baby tacos future is bright. Just gotta finish college.

Meh. Who cares about resale. We never get out what we put in. If you go that route then you look like Gabe who's trying to get $30k for his. The best bang for buck would be a simple LS1. They're light, compact, simple, reliable and powerful. Parts are plentiful as well is the aftermarket support. Not to mention the T-56 option is a bulletproof transmission.

I am aware of the current market price. I wouldn't sell at that price as I know it will hold there for a long time. Id rather run this truck to the dirt and sell it for slightly less in the distant future.

The prices we are talking about is what would make us consider selling now. Market value does not equal to what I value my truck and what it means to me.

I would be interested in the LS1, 2jz, or possibly the tundy 5.7 (just for giggles). LS1 would be preferred, 2jz would be more budget minded and the tundy would be if one happened to fall in my lap.

Don't think I would bother with the 1GR-FE. Same amount of work needed and I haven't heard one that sounded good. If I put that much time/money in my truck then it is going to turn heads in a good way.

The 5.7L Tundra engine would be so absurd in our little Tacomas. I had a 2007 Tundra Double Cab 4x4 with 8' bed 5.7L and it did 15.00 seconds in the quarter mile for giggles, that was a 6,600# truck!

 It would be a lot of fun! I would rather try to keep things as light as possible though. Ever see the camry sleeper toyota built?

Yeah, I won't be selling my truck no matter if it has any hot swap done or not. I am in it like I was with the '82 that I had until 2009. Based on that timeframe I won't be lookin for a replacement for the 08 until around 2035.

It's too easy to swap in an ls for you to consider anything else...

Besides Any thing other then a Chevy motor is a waste of time and money :bananadance:

Shit, me too! I can afford to drive any truck that I want, but I LOVE my reg cab 4x4 with manual windows and all!
I don't think it could be bought!
