Not sure. We are guessing it has something to do with my valves. I thought it was my valve seals but after pulling most of them it was apparent that wasn't the issue. I am guessing it was a slight valve problem, then when my engine misfired it turned into a bent valve.

    Only time will tell.

Where have you been? #4 cyl could have bad valve or piston ring or worse! We hope it is not the worse because we don't want Ash without BabyTaco to continue this tread... @BabyTaco will have to re-name it Bruiser and Ash the epic Land Cruiser episodes.

Nah, the truck won't be sold. It might just sit at my parents for a bit and a new engine would get dropped in sometime in the summer. We checked it out with a bore scope and it didn't look like a ring or anything worse than a problem in the head. But with things like this you never know until you tear into it.

Think the laps went bad? Or sticking valves?

I have lots of threads and PM's to keep up with! Lot of people having questions and wanting to get work done

I'm in the market for some new tires, I'm not sure what to get. Right now I'm stuck between trail grapplers or ko2. Any input on a good tire or opinion about either one of the ones above would be greatly appreciated .

I ran Trail Grapplers before my current tires. They're a good MT, just really heavy.

I never realized how much those tires weighed,75 lbs for 285/70 r17, that's insane. Did it effect fuel economy all that much? If so I guess I'm settled on ko2

My buddy has a Nissan Frontier and he ran those on his truck and within a year he had to get new tires cause they wore poorly, but he also drives like the biggest dumbass ever

That's not bad, that sounds like a set of tires I could look into

Any first gens out there looking for a bedtop in SoCal area? Had it on my single cab since day one almost and has held up great. Only thing worn is the weather stripping. Which is easy enough to repair/replace. Just throwing it out there, won't be using it anymore after bedsides go on. :)

I an going with the KO2's next. They are cheaper, last longer, and perform good in all conditions. My mtrs were pricey, are going to last 20-25k, and perform well in offroad conditions but is basically commiting suicide driving with them on snow covered roads.
