I have the Volant tube from TB to filter. I used K&N tube, Volant filter box & aFe dry flo filter to make my intake. I am sure I also have the filter that came with Volant if interested. IIRC, the Volant tube = 3" diameter. That tube is not supported by a bracket off the valve cover like the K&N one is, FYI. PM if interested and I can get pics for ya. Also may have a K&N filter with red sock too.

They also have a primary filter in a can that keeps silt clouds and dust from consuming it. Halfway through a race typically they pull off the exposed filter and just run the can. Exterior filter has a pre filter also.

Yeah, I have been looking into Donaldson air cleaners. Pretty sure I can easily stuff one under the hood right after the cowl attachment and before the filter. I doubt I would even have any problems with dust at that point. Donaldson also has this sweet inline filter that makes things simple.

Really, I am 90% sure that if I move the intake to the cowl I will 99% of the time not be in dust. The only times it would suck in dirt would be when I am following a truck on a dirt road.

I'll post up what I finally decide to do. A snorkel @$330 from cruisers might be cheaper depending on what's used.

Friday or Monday unless something holds him up. He said he would work through the weekend so most likely Monday regardless.

I am not going to go offroad until I have something set in place. Pretty sure I have a solid plan though, just need to determine if the cfm will be high enough.

Anyone have a side picture of our trucks with the passenger side off? Trying to decide the best way to route this intake before I get my truck back. I believe there is a pre-existing hole leading into the cowl?

You're a dirt liar Kase. Is this, or is this not your truck?

Also, the red circle...is that an opening to the cowl?
