Hey guys I'm a newbie and need your help! My truck is in need of new suspension and I don't know which one will work best for my little truck. Im going to go with the Bilstein Shocks and Struts. Which ones will work best? I'd like it to be soft in case I wanted to go over a speed bump at 40mph and I will rarely haul anything in it except for my KTM maybe once a month. Light off-roading, nothing crazy.

What gearing does an 2009 regular cab 4x4 with manual transmission come with?

I'm going to order a front third member/clamshell with an ARB locker from East Coast Gear Supply, and I want to make sure I order the right case.

Should I add a solid spacer and cv bushings?

Also- can I drive with different gears in front and back as long as I don't engage 4wd? I most likely won't have time to get the front and rear done at once, and this truck is my daily.

Stock is 4.10's I believe (someone will confirm). You can drive with the front being different in 2wd only.

Stock is 4.10 with manual trans, I think some came with 4.30 with a tow package maybe? get the spacer for the rear, front doesn't really need a solid spacer since its always protected by the skid.

I'm not sure if this is the proper thread to be asking but I've been meaning to get some some new wheels and tires for the taco. Has anyone put 265 70r17 or 255 75r17 with a -1 or -12mm offset on your SC Tacos? If so, have you had any issues rubbing? I would like to work with the leveling kit it already has if possible. If you have pictures that would be awesome. Thanks in advance

@vrod671 You are running Tahoe steel wheels and what size tires? Lift? I found some really nice tires and OK wheels off a Tahoe for $500. Wondering if I should dive in.

Yup, some aftermarket steelies I found on a Tahoe at a junkyard. The wheels are 16x8 (don't know the brand), tires are 285/75r16's and lift is the OME 885's and shocks with TC UCA's and the Deaver AAL.

Got any pics of the wheels?

That's the spirit....you got last yr of reg cab period. I got last yr that you could get RC 5 spd prerunner with buckets/console. I might add another truck but will not get rid of the one I have. My '82 RC hung around for 27 yrs even tho I coulda used more seating.

Probably help with the towing. Mines a pig trying to tow anything remotely heavy

Be careful. Not all stock Chevy wheels fit tacos. Aftermarket yes. Stock, maybe. Tacos have a bigger wheel hub so taco wheels work on Chevy's but not all Chevy's work on tacos.
