Well. Its time to start modding the taco again! First mod is bedline paint job to make the truck all one color again. Should be getting sprayed next month.

Deciding the color is driving me insane lol. Help! What color would you paint your rig if you could do it over again?

I like my white, a few degrees cooler when in the sun, but I also like the silver too. I'd go with either of those, they hide scratches better too.

Ima bedline it. The truck gets new dents and scratches every time I go on a wheeling trip. But I'm tired of it looking like a panda as it sits lol. Ain't paying $400+ to color match the fiberglass when its just gonna get broke eventually anyway.

Figure bedliner will help keep the glass from cracking and it will help the truck from scratches too.

If it ends up looking bad in a few years then oh welll. It only has like 3 body panels left on it anyway right now. It can always just become a truggy lol

Alright guys, I just had my rear leaf TSB done and my truck has more rake than usual, which means it's time to lift it. It's all stock suspension right now. Here's what I'm looking for...

    -2 to 3 inches.
-Not doing any crazy off-roading, yet.
-I don't want spacers because I don't. (I work on top of a mountain, the road is considered an ATV trail so you can imagine the condition it's in half the time).
-Leaning towards Bil' 5100's with OME 884's or 885's (hopefully some of you can help me on this). Note, I don't plan on putting an off-road bumper on anytime soon.
-Possibly 1.5 AAL from Wheelers? (Would it be too stiff/high?)
-Just got Wheelers front bumpstops in, going to install today or tomorrow fyi.
    -I'm running 265/70r17's fwiw.

Thank you in advance for any help.

A few updates on the new Taquito build. Got some more work done to the truck this week, but majority of it has yet to come.

Removed those God awful Moto Metals and installed some 35x12.50 Toyo M/T's I had laying around on a set of Method Double Standard 17's with machined ring. Power is non-existent now with the stock gears, but I got a free third member with 4.56's in it, so I'll be installing that tomorrow night.

Front tube bumper is almost finished being fabricated, should be picking that up this week. I can't wait to remove the abomination that's currently on there.

Bought a few cans of POR-15 to address some of the front frame surface rust. The truck was parked by the beach here in San Diego, so the salty air just coated the front of the frame and the rear leaf pack. I'll be taking this weekend to prep and paint the surfaces to make her look good again.

Also took the FOA rear 16" triple bypasses off, replacing them with King 16" bypasses that still need to be revalved and re-sealed for the truck.

I purchased cam-tab gussets, spindle gussets, and new front limit straps and clevises from Total Chaos. All have yet to be installed.

Next would be removing the LT kit and having it sand-blasted then powdercoated again for a nice clean finish. Same goes for the front coil springs.

That's all for the coming week or so, stay tuned!

PS. Don't mind the taco lean, I think it was from the tires being on that side mostly.
