Yea I want to get ladder racks but will they work with a tool box? I have a cap for winter time and it has Thule racks on it.

You can put some anti-friction material between the leafs to make them stop squeaking unless they're squeaking at the bushings.

I was gonna order dakars.....but that's a whole lot of money for not very much lift. Find some old springs at a junk and just build your own. It's not hard, it took me half a day. Mine don't squeak at all now. But boy when I have just the progressive sus aal in there it sounded like a rusty gate calling his brother 2 counties over

Until you get new leafs you can jack up the back from the frame and stick a crow bar between the leafs and put some strips of tough plastic or plumbing shower lining material between the leafs. I did this on my truck and the squeaking went away for a
few months. I'm going to find some more durable material for the next time.

Well the chevy 63 mod isnt what I did. I took one spring from each side of the chevy. Then I measured the length of the add a leaf, then the length of the top spring. Divided the diffrence, and that's how long the chevy springs need to be trimmed to. Cut it with a plasma cutter or a grinder with cutting wheel while misting it with water. NOT a torch, way to much heat. 45 the corners, chamfer the cut top and bottom, get new center bolts, done.

Any info that is regular cab specific about mid travel please let me know on my research page here:

    https://www.tacomaworld.com/threads/mid-travel-questions.445733/

Most guys with mid travel builds are 4.0 / AC / DC. Thank you! Also anyone around LA that would like to help me install my new suspension will be treated to lunch / dinner / late night snack (depending on how long it takes lol) and photos of his rig - hobbyist quality photos. See 2nd & 3rd page of build thread for examples - some come out better than others. I'm in need of someone that has experience with installing these kinds of parts. I have installed new brakes and spark plugs on my heap so I can do basic things with my own tools, but this feels like the next level up.
