Old pic, but was working on it recently. Liking those pics of the regular cabs.

@vrod671 how did you clean your engine bay up like that? So nice and clean

One can of Gunk engine cleaner, one spray bottle of Simple Green, a rag, a few types of brushes for the hard to reach areas, and some Armoral detailing wipes for the shiny finish.

I did it in the morning when the engine was cold. Directions for the Gunk cleaner are on the can. I didn't have a pressure washer, so I made a nozzle by poking holes in a plastic bottle cap then duct taped it to my hose for the light, low pressure mist to rinse the bay. I also covered the alternator with foil and a bag.

I did mine with the degreaser but got lazy and pressure washed it. Then I used an engine detailer spray that really only makes it look shiny. Not really any cleaner lol.

    Haha..

I went to town on mine since I've never done it since having the truck. Took me forever. I figured cleaning it once a year would make it a lot easier to do and take 1/4 of the time.

75 bucks. I got a discount though. It is usually 120.

I probably should have gone with the brush technique - my engine still smells like manure when its warm from when it was a farm truck before I owned it lol. I think it's the dust still stuck on the outside of the intake tubing. The shine spray made it disappear, but the smell didn't budge.
