Ok why's that? I don't like the 3 inch to much stress on things? I'd rather have the drop bracket lift?

A 6" drop bracket lift technically is no worse than a 3" suspension lift in terms of stress and angles.
The 6" drop bracket lift is just that... A bracket that drops the stock components down.. coupled with the same shocks as found on a 3" lift just with longer shafts(and sometimes spacers...which are also used on 3" lifts).

The main reason people hate on drop bracket lifts is because they have a higher center of gravity which is a no no if you like to wheel off camber trails.

3" lift or 6" lift, you're truck will last if you do regular maintenance and don't abuse it. Plenty of people have clocked over 100k miles on both lifts.

The tricky part is tire size. That's where your gearing, power, mpg and reliability /stress on parts comes from.

So what is your plans on tire size and truck use? What's your budget after everything?

Ok that makes good sense! I was actually thinking the 4" rcx drop bracket lift just don't want to destroy my truck. So say I went with that new wheels an 33s ? 4.56 gears? The truck will just be used for average off roading (just hunting) light towing so I want to keep my power close to stock.

A lift won't destroy your truck lol and 33s are very easy to fit especially witha. Drop bracket lift. Depending on wheel offset, you may or may not have to do a cab mount chop.

A regear will cost you around $2k. So be ready to spend that coin on one and I will say, it's worth every penny. Ive never owned a regeared truck before so spending the money sucked but holy crap it's worth it lol. I will from now on always regear a truck if I throw way oversize tires on it.

Good thing is the stock steering components, CVs and drivetrain can handle 33s with ease.

I say follow through with your plans. the truck will be fine and handle great!

Ok I think I got it figured out still might look at a bds lift. Thanks for all the info! Also wondering how bad would it be if I lifted it then maybe just slapped some cheap 31s or 32s off Craigslist then saved up for 33s an re gear?

Get 33s first. Run em. Then save for a regear. It won't be a drastic loss of power. You'll still be able to daily it. 35s is when you start getting drastic changes and actually need a regear lol.

Testing out the new tires! Would like to lift, add some 33's and regear, but I'll probably wait until these tires get tired before doing so (plus hopefully save up enough spare funds to do it halfway decently as well).

This depends on which motor and trans combo one has.

When I went to 32's, I had to re-gear to 4.88's due to the A340F trans and 2.7 3RZ motor. The OEM gear ratio was killin' the poor motor. Went to 5.29's when I moved up to 33's.

    No sir.
Mine came with 4.30's and was horrible with the OEM 265-70-16's. So bad that I rarely used OD.

Hey perfect timing, I came across a deal, getting a tool box, back rack, custom fabricated tailgate and a flow master exhaust for 1000 all together. Not exactly sure on what model flow master yet but it's coming off a 6 cylinder and going on a 4 cylinder does anyone know it's gonna cause problems on the different engine or are they generally the same? Wish I knew the model.

Didnt he say his was a standard? And it's a 2nd gen 4wd single cab.

So it's got the same trans/gearing as most of us in here. Besides first gen peeps.
