I went out a few times and only brought back a few pictures. I uploaded one of those and I posted that the other day here.

    Looks like a fun weekend.

Did you finally get everything straightened out with the engine and all the headaches? Sorry if I already asked this.

Fuck no, haha but she runs. Has a vvti rattle start up noise that's common in Toyota cars. It doesn't like certain RPMs. Hates dropping below 2K (you can hear the timing chain). I'm going to dump some money into maintenance and other things for now. Once I am permanent at my current job I'll be buying a house (with a shop) and getting a car for a DD. Then I'll buy a used engine and swap this POS out.

I thought about it. Loud and vibrates the whole truck. It would be cool for a trail rig but I hope to drive this truck around the country still.

Came across an ad for a shop in Utah that will take out, rebuild (or replace), your engine and promised for it to be cheaper than any local shop.

They quoted me at $6K. Heck of a lot better than the 10k every one in Laramie wanted. It would come with a 3 year, unlimited mile warranty.

At that price though....seems like one should double down and swap some power in it.

Stuff and things that make it better.
What's the name of the shop? I'll ask around about it's reputation.

Ugh. I got a screw in one of my tires. Turns out Micky Thompson is phasing out the Baja STZ tires so I said screw it and went with wrangler dura tracs. So that was my long weekend. New tires.
    Screw in the old tire.

Looking at rear suspension again. Anyone running the allpoo expos with Billys? I got a quote back on the shell and I am close to pulling the trigger. I'll have 300+ lbs in the bed at all times and my current leafs look sad...like frowning. Next year I would add a shock relocation and some kings. Just need to get through the winter.

It was a crappy week. I was also in a fender bender and smashed my headlight.

Moving forward with the topper. I was told 3 weeks time for a color matched MX ARE top. Just in time for the winter.

What was your quote on the ARE MX? Mine was $1895 with front slider, side sliders with pet screens, double rear locks and free carpet with coupon. No lights or any doodads.

I've had 885s I've been wanting to throw on my truck. My 5100s have about 60k on them now. What else can I pair the 885s with besides OME or billies?

From what I've read the ome coils run best with ome shocks as they are valved for ome Springs and bilsteins are valved for eibach Springs

VOR prep...traded my original bumper to a buddy Been riding stock for a week and couldn't take it this bumper is much lighter (4 banger problems) and nicer with a 2" sleeve so the winch is only part time! A lot more work to do gussets and holes for fog lights as well as a hoop to protect the grill and more lights!
