Im looking to put the OME lift package with 885's,LrUca's, and Dakar springs and i want to goto a bigger rim and tire set up. Whats some good advice on re-gearing my 2012 2.7 and this type of set up in general? i drive 50/50 hyw/city, and plan to trail ride a bunch more now that i got rid of my P.O.S land rover.

Im thinking 295 70 18 Nitto trail or BFG KO's im leaning towards the KO's because of how much road driving i will be doing. I know the BFG's weight
is a little more...im not sure on the Nitto's though.

OME suspension, ARB Air Lockers, CBI/Relentless/Pelfrey armor, HAM radio
    Assuming no heavy bumper/winch armor:

    884 springs
    1/2" top plate spacer
Light racing UCAs set to -1
    17x8" rims with 4.5" backspacing 0mm offset
    285/70R17 tires 30psi
    Cab mount chop
    Pinch weld hammer
Trim/heat gun on inner wheelwells and fender flares to increase clearance
Set alignment on factory eccentrics to absolutely maximum caster, then correct camber using the UCA adjustments at top.
4.88 gears with ARB locker in back
    Hypertech speedometer calibrator.

I think I'm now done spending your money.

884 with top plate spacer will have a tiny bit more downtravel than 885 springs alone; a little more comfortable going over freeway expansion joints and such.

Was the install easy, or a bitch? Were you able to do it alone or did you have help?

Definitely easy. Took a little bit of time, but you can do it all with a ratchet & some wrenches. The hardest part of the install was loosing the damn spring bolts that collect the header to the exhaust piping, that was a bitch. I wish I had a power or torque wrench, that woulda made it easier. But so far it's money well spent. I noticed a significant difference in stop and go traffic.. not as much of a struggle.

295/70/18's are 34"+ tire. Pretty easy to figure out. 295mm is the width. Next number is the aspect ratio, so there is 206.5mm of sidewall. Multiply that times 2 (because that's just one sidewall). Convert to inches and add 18" (for the rim). You get 34.26". This is theoretically what it's supposed to be, but it may be shorter or taller depending on the tire itself.

If you did go 34+, you not only need regearing, but whole mess of other things, such as suspension work, brake lines extended, possible body lift, bending and cutting, etc.

If you want 33's, then just stick to 275/70/18's. Or good ol' 255/85/16's.
