Well you bunch of hooligans guess what. I was at the junk yard today and there is an 07 extended cab 4x4 frame there...no rust, straight as an arrow. They don't want very much money for it, so it looks like I will be building the first ever toyota single cab long wheel base in 30 ish years. I wanted to switch to the v6 that is in it, but that is just way too much money. While in the process I will add Dakar leaf packs with the extra leaf, lce header, flowmaster super 50, rear winch, and a 2.25 " tailpipe that reaches allll the way back. Along with building a new lightweight but strong 8 foot flatbed. Maybe will do a regear too. We will see.

 

What year is a that bracket off of? I was gonna try this years ago and you had the bracket then too. Can't believe you still have it!

 

I’d also be curious to see if anyone has added or seen instances of an added overhead console. Looked into it but seems to be more trouble than it’s worth imo.

how did you put all those kc lights in ?

 

IIRC it came off an 09 2nd gen.............The multi-function rr view solved my wants and was much easier than modding the headliner.

 

just dropped truck off to get 20% tint. second guessing myself and might call to get 35 and play the safe route. what do you guys think?

 

I know if mine is below 30, I cant get my registration. Be warned your stock glass has about 3% tint

 

I'm 20% all around wouldn't change a thing. I've always had 20% on all my vehicles. Just role the windows down when you go for your inspection! Also I you may want some brighter reverse lights (bit harder to see at night) I have my flush mount pods hard wired to my reverse lights they are awesome!

 

What do yall think? Of course the tires will be in the center of the bed, but that's about the length it will be

 

They make you roll them up here, they have a tester they slide over it. Texas state troopers will also stop you just to test it if it looks too dark. They don't relax on that crap down here. I got denied an inspection 3 different places for not having mud flaps on my flat bed. I had to go to the court house DPS office and get a print out where it says mud flaps are only needed for dual tired vehicles with flatbeds.

 

How do you roll the back glass down?

It's only the windshield and front 2 windows that matter on a truck the rear windows don't fall subject to the tint laws
