@jeff b How do you have your switches and relays set up for all your lights?

That's how I have mine. Led light bar, fog lights, and tray lights are all there, and my air pump, rear locker, and camera switch are all in the center spots under the radio.

Well guys, I need some help. I drive this truck fairly significant distances, and I am starting to get tired of the terrible ride quality. I'm currently running 884 with 5100's in the front and an AAL in the rear. Tires are 265 75 16 BFG KO2 E load range.
I am open to any suggestions. I assume that a C load range tire will help some, but was wondering if anything could be done with the suspension

Sweet looking truck! I am gonna second @jeff b I am running Fox 2.0 shocks up front and had 5100s before...it is night and day. The ride quality on these shocks is awesome! They cruise great for daily driving and really do their thing on the trail too!

    Yep.
If you're not hitting trails, go back to a p-rated tire. Softer ride and you'll get a little performance back along with some DD mpgs.

If you can't swing the high end coilovers, I've been reading nothing but praises on the 6112's. 2nd gen ones are still semi available, 3rd gens are SOL lol.

Any "non-E" rated mud tires? My hunting trails consist of mostly mud.

I'd love me some 255s, but I'm thinking I'll need to stick with 265s especially for road performance.

I live in the country so most of my driving is 50-60mph cruising and I'm currently under 20 mpg with only 265s KM2s and 3rd gen suspension. Can't seem to break 20 mpg and I keep hearing about these guys claiming 23-25 mpg while running 33s or 35s...

I guess it irks me our little trucks can't break 20 when a new F150 thats a few thousand pounds heavier with 3 times the power gets 21+mpg.

    That's what I'm thinking...

I might just say screw it, this truck won't be my DD forever so I might as well just put what I really want on it and tough out the mpgs and ride quality.

Speaking of. Those of y'all that don't DD your trucks, what is your DD?

My DD is an 04 hyundai azera. 256,000 miles. Valves tick a smidge, but it still rides smooth as glass. I need to put new struts on the front though.

    Yep.
2010 Corolla S, 125K. Haven't had a single issue, other than recalls. The gas mileage is awesome (36 avg) but it's boring and slow.

Once the RC build is semi complete (we all know the mods never end), I'd really like to start looking into a fun DD... or maybe get another bike.

Haha the carrying cost is offset by the 34 mpg and cheap liability insurance. Plus with this car i can pull out in front of traffic and stomp it. But my 4 cylinder...you would die if you did that.

Well probably not. But once you factor in wearing out mud tires on highway, fuel savings, less maintenance on the tacoma, and keeping miles off the tacoma, which increases it's resale value....meh I dunno. Who knows

Anyone have easy access to taking a pic of a 2nd gen 5spd interior? I installed a short shifter, and can’t recall how the shifter boot sits in place against the shifter itself.

My shift boot just sits on the shifter where its wide enough to stop the boot falling more. The bottom snaps into the console.
