For the first time ever, I installed parts on the same day they arrived. Got eibach pro-truck struts for the front to match the rear shocks I purchased a couple months ago. Installed at .8" lift, it leveled with a recall pack in the rear.

I am running the Fox 2.0 coil overs up front with SPC UCAs I don't know the actual travel numbers but the articulation is great I Don't think I have lifted a a front tire offroad since putting them on. They come from Fox preset at 2" they are adjustable up and down. I was in contact with them about the adjustability. they say that the shock travel and ride comfort is maximized at there factory settings and they do not recommend adjusting them. These shocks are a monster improvement over both ome and bilstein 5100s such a great ride and they have great travel (for reference see picture below!)

I have another 2 or so inches of up travel left on the stuffed side and I think I was pretty close to full droop on the other side in this picture

Yessir it is extremely hard to beat the bang for buck. For our trucks I think it is a pretty perfect setup. That's my 2 cents on the matter!

I'll have to dial mine back. They were set to 3" on a double cab. I don't think I'll want to preload them too much. Like your fox, I'll set them up to be optimal.

Yeah...I originally wanted to get a little more height out of them but after emailing back and forth with a rep from Fox it seemed like a bad idea...they set them up at their factory specs for a reason! At least that's what i took away from it haha that being said I love these shocks I had a set of them on my silverado and they were awesome on that as well!

I just put on the AFD intake, there are several vendors selling it on Ebay for $159. I waited until I had a 15% coupon from Ebay. It seems to fit well but there were 2 issues. The hose they give you going to the valve cover (pcv I think) did not fit so I had to find some 5/8" hose to cut/bend to use. And one of the bosses on the intake tube for the pressure valve mounting did not line up with the other so I was only able to bolt it on with 1 bolt. That really doesn't seem to be a big issue since it just holds it in place. It's a little louder than stock but not a big deal. I just did my first fill up since running it and my mpg is up .5 mpg but one tank is not a true indicator. I tow a boat around and usually don't get above 45 mph in most of my day to day driving so that tank was a typical 10 days of driving for me.

I am running that same intake for the same reason you want to @jeff b. However as stated above it is not a perfect fit. I had to change the same hose and it didn't fit with hardware it came with. I am planning on modifying to reconnect the factory air box and hook it all back up to my snorkel!

Yeah I'm not a huge fan of the cone filter and I have a snorkel drilled into my fender...which is currently a decoration haha I am planning on cutting the intake tube and putting the stock air box back in and hooking it back up to the snorkel giving me an actual cold air intake unrestricted by the silencer in the stock intake!

I was thinking about trying that as well. Post up if you do end up doing it so we can see how well it fits the stock airbox. But for now, I wanted to install it the way it comes to see how well it works. There is heat shielding around the filter so it will try to pull outside air from the fender area. The stock opening to the fender is left open. I haven't noticed any downside so far in this 95+ degree heat so that's a good sign.

That is why I used K&N tube, Volant filter box & aFe dry flo non-oiled washable filter........filter enclosed away from direct heat and still breathes thru oem fender opening/baffle...........

    divpnl_04.jpg

There is seal between inside of filter box and back edge of filter that keeps engine bay air out where tube enters box...just can't see it from outside.

Thats not a silencer. It makes the air pulse at the same frequency as the intake valves between 1500 and 2500 rpm. It's for low end grunt. I took mine out and after about a week, I put it back in. I could definitely tell I lost some torque at the red lights, but gained some on the interstate. Unless you meant the thing in your fender, in that case yes that's a silencer.

Yes, uses same opening behind washer jug into fender well area as the factory box uses. Whatever thing inside fender well oem connects to is still in there.

Just tossed on an arb bumper I got for 350 off Craigslist. Need to get some new head lights and then have someone wire up fogs where the cutouts are but I’m digging it. Any spring recommendations? Thinking bilstein 5100s and 887?
