Thinking about some suspension upgrades anyone know some things about this set?

I run the billy 5100’s, but have ome 884 coils and ome hd dakar leafs. It’s stiffer than stock, that’s for sure. But I feel much more planted and it does soak up washboard roads considerably better. I took off my sway bar too, and it rolls a little more but the stiff coils and our lightweight regular cabs minimize that.

Well, boys, I'm back. Life happened and I sold my '14 RC two years ago. I'm now in pursuit of the same model. I miss the manual windows. I miss the stick shifter. I miss the bench seat and the simplicity of that truck! I've found a 2013 with low miles (20K-ish miles), and otherwise the same, but of course I want the 2014 because it was the last year made. We'll see what I can find, but it's my goal to get another one. I kept it simple, and also had a Bestop Supertop, but this time I'll probably get a hard shell. I carry BMX bikes all the time and we leave our bikes locked in the bed while we eat, but I'd like them to stay dry when it's raining and we go on our cross country trips.

Also, I'm finalizing my design for regular cab specific, drill-less roof racks/trays. I should be testing my prototypes before 2020 and when I do I'll create a thread for that if anyone is curious to see my progress. I've wanted something that is drill-less for the sake of resale value. I've always wanted to be able to return my truck to stock in the event that I had to sell it (like I did with my 2014 that I used to own) in order to appeal to a broad audience and it's always paid off. That's the whole theory behind my design. That, of course, and the fact that there is no company out there making roof racks for RC owners.

Anyway, good to be back, and here are a few pictures of my old truck.

I don't know why, but I've always really liked this shot. Maybe because it seems like it's some beast lurking in the shadows. That sounds a bit weird, but the image seems to fit. Except for the plaid towel that functioned as a seat cover...

Welcome back. I would like to have a roof rack. I’m curious what it would look like though.

Those eiback springs are way too stiff for our trucks. I ran that setup originally and it was a rather brutal ride it provided a ton of lift up front but the suspension was basically bottomed out and there was no travel. the rear setup was fine. I would advise either keeping the stock front springs or going with ome springs and running them with the 5100s

Picked up myself a 2008 Single Cab base 2wd w/104k miles about a month ago. Ive been enjoying it, have been adding small stuff here and there. But today finally decided to put on new rims/tires.

...glad to see this single cab thread still going strong

I’ve got a buddy with a 3rd gen DCSB OR that took his suspension off. Anyway we were wondering if it will fit my truck (11 RC 4x4) or if there are any issues anyone is aware of? I’m mostly just wondering about the leaf pack.

    Yep it'll work.

There are a few threads floating around on here about 3rd gen on 2nd gen suspension.
